Dodge Other 1993 Description
Up for sale is my beast. It is not PERFECT. DID YOUCATCH THAT?! If you want an all-originalsurvivor or a show truck; look somewhere else and pay $15,000 to $18,000. If you want a 12 valve Cummins truck that you are not ashamedto be seen in, ready to go to work for you, with only 155,000 original miles and that you can count on for years to come, then keep looking. It is the indestructible 12-valve, fully mechanical 5.9 Cummins with an automatic overdrive transmission. To my knowledge the injector pump has never been turned-up. I have been the owner since January of 2006. I looked long for her and found her in Berryville, Arkansas. I bought it off of eBay and was disappointed to find that after purchase, it had previously been in an accident and had a “previous damage” title. A “small” fact the sellers felt no need to disclose and being a cold, snowyday in January and of trusting heart, I paid, got the title and left. Bad ebayers!!
Nevertheless, I owned my mistake and made the best of it. I had a new off-road steering shaft and steering stabilizer installed, lined it up and put new tires on. I bought it with 142,000 miles on it and it now has 155,XXX on it. These are original. The transmission was rebuilt after 136,000 miles and mechanically it has performed well since purchase and has never failed to start. I used it as a second truck to pull my construction trailer locally. It has not been mechanically abused in my ownership but it did go through some cosmetic challenges, i.e. fenders being dented on trailers, dually wheel fenders being busted on gates, mirrors getting hooked on trees and ruining a doorand front bumper getting caught on a stump while in reverse. The front differential had a corner of the yoke damaged (in that previous damage I'm supposing) and has a bolt with a nut on it along with the other three that are fine. The 4-wheel drive has always worked fine even under pressure. The passenger door lockkey tumbler does not workbut I have a replacement lock that matches the driver's door lock and key. The left blinker indicator bulb on the dash is out but blinkers work.
I retired it about five years ago andstarted to cammo it and sell it as a hunting truck. Then I thought better and decided to revive it as my daily driver in my new auction business. I had a used utility bed placed on it (all locks keyed the same), had a door and fender replaced, had it painted, put a new rubber floor cover in, a new headliner, new weather-stripping and put a good used front bumper and grill guard on. Before finishing I purchased a 2005 Dodge 350 so it went back into retirement. The AC blows cold and I also put a late model Dodge front seat in it and deleted the rear side seats. The brake ABS light on the dash comes on occasionally, but they work fine. The hood latch cable broke and is accessible from the front grill. The paint job was a budget one. The steering wheel controls were deleted and are in the glove compartment.
Despite the previous damage, this is a solid truck and you may bid with confidence. I am a now even more of a stickler for disclosure. She runs and shifts great. I would not be afraid to take off to anywhere USA with this rig. You may want to change the back tires soon as they are worn (I will throw in four, used, matching). The four wheel drive works fine and it has lock-out hubs. If you look around, you know the motors alone are worth minimum $6000 for a well used one and then north of that. It was originally blue & silver.
You may email with any questions. Buyer to pay a $500.00 deposit via Paypal within 72 hours of auction close and remainder payable by cash or cashier’s check upon pick-up which is to be within a week of close. There will be no negotiation after purchase. Bidders with zero feedback will be rejected unless you contact me and make arrangements. Sells as-is; where-is! I will answer all and I tell all. With all of this disclosure, please do not be the winning bidder and then decide it is not what you thought or that it doesn't look like the pictures. The pictures are of the truck; not somebody else's. Can you tell I've been through this before? Thanks forlooking!!
