Dodge Challenger 1970 Description
BUILD YOUR DREAM CAR! How many chances are there to buy a E Body Convertible for this kind of money? I am a retired Chrysler dealer that collected muscle cars. I am losing the lease on my indoor storage and unfortunately must sell this car. I bought the car the way it is - a PROJECT CAR. It is a fairly rust-free body that is disassembled. INCLUDED IS A '70 Challenger 340 4 speed PARTS CAR. The numbers matching 340 engine goes with it so that you have an engine if you want. BOTH CARS CLEAN TITLES! You can use the parts car to build your dream car convertible the way you want - and then sell it to someone else so they can have their own project. The parts car is restorable (in my opinion). THE PARTS CAR IS NOT FOR SALE WITHOUT THE CONVERTIBLE - SO PLEASE DON'T ASK!I really can't tell you how much is missing to have all of the parts needed. That's why I included the parts car! Both cars are "rolling bodies", so they are movable and trailer-able.
The VIN on the title and dash indicates a 340 engine. The front clip on this car does not match the VIN. The car was obviously wrecked in the front many (over 30) years ago and then fixed very poorly as someone's abandoned project. The front clip will need replaced (in my opinion). I believe that the front clip on the parts car is in very good condition so could be used as a donor. Or, you can probably buy all new metal for the front. The convertible is not a "rust bucket". It certainly has some rust and will require some sheet metal repair and replacement, but the frame and general undercarriage is very solid. The car has been stored inside since at least 1992 (since after I bought it).
I will try to answer major condition questions to the best of my ability, but be aware that condition is a highly opinion-based description.
