Dodge Challenger 1970 Description

Update - The car is listed locally and I will end the auction given a local sale. The lifter valley pan is missing on the engine which is otherwise complete. Also the rocker shafts were loosened by the previous owner to protect the valve springs.

Real RT/SE with build sheet showing it is legit and equipped as follows: 383 4bbl 727A Torqueflite 3.23 Sure Grip High Impact Bright Yellow with rear black bumble bee stripe hood pins XHD Hemi front suspension with sway bar rallye wheels console overhead console power steering rare power disc brakes all windows tint am/fm multiplex stereo radio.

The car is complete except for exhaust tips and radio. It appears to have been repainted once in the original Top Banana yellow color with factory tail stripe. VIN is JS29NOB344044 I have clear California Title. The VIN sequence number is clearly shown on the engine block. I haven't checked the numbers on the trans (very hard to see with header collectors in the way) or rear end but can if that isof interest.Trans is shown as HD 727 and rear is shown as 3.23 Sure Grip on build sheet. The car needsrestoration. The right front fender is from another car and is completely rusted out (this does not reflect the condition of the rest of the car) the R/T hood has a line of rust near the rear edgeneedstrunk pan and the roof needs minor repairs. The rockers and floors are nice rust around the rear window and under the vinyl top is minimal compared to so many others (please see pictures). This is truly a great foundation for the price. You can find Challengers for $4k to $7k that need more extensive body work are incomplete and are 318 or 6 cylinder cars (or 72-74) but by the time you get through all of that metal work you are in over $10k and still have to find parts with the end result being a non-numbers 'clone' car that is difficult to get your investment dollars back out of. With this car you can be assured that your investment will come back to you and then some. The previous owner began dismantling the interior mostly just the trim around the dash. The interior is complete minus carpet and headliner though and fortunately he bagged all hardware and seemed to save everything which is displayed on the hood of the car. This car sat in a metal outbuilding on a ranch in Northern California for the past 30 years and wears its blue CA plates. It is ready to get back on the road.

Update: Someone asked for pictures of the car from farther away so I've posted more pics. It is hard to get far back because the car is parked close to a fence and there are other cars around it so its tough to get the car without getting other cars in front of it.The new pictures are shown as the last6 listed. Unfortunately I had to take down 6 that had been posted because I had hit the 24 pic limit. The metal things visible under the car are aluminum quad ramps that are stored there. ALSO - the rear drivers quarter window was broken during shipping. The other glass is fine.
