Dodge Dart 1961 Description
Selling for a friend a very rare survivor 1961 Dodge Dart Phoenix 4-door sedan with 93,900 original miles. It has a 318-cubic-inch V8 numbers matching motor and push-button TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Purchased from the second owner who had it since the early 70s. Original California black plate. Runs and drives great. No oil leaks. Does not smoke or overheat. Power steering. This car has never been re-painted and still wears all its original factory 'Buckskin' color paint. Most of the electrical such as the speedometer, temp gauge, fuel gauge, lights still work. Engine was rebuilt but don't know how long ago. This car just had a complete brake job with a brand new power brake system put in, front brake shoes, wheel cylinders and seals, axle bearing and seals, all done correctly and with less than 2 miles on them. Minor body damage on the front quarter panel on both sides, and the front side emblem badges are gone. Never been in a major accident. Very minor surface rust. Driver seat is ripped but keep in mind this is a 55 year old car. Currently Planned Non-Operation status in California. The Phoenix was top of the line in the Dart model and they probably made only a few thousand of these and this is the only year with this body style. You just don't see these in original condition and still running anymore. Gets a ton of jaw drops and looks everywhere you go. Any questions please ask.
