Dodge Daytona 1986 Description
For auction is a 1986 Dodge Dayton Vin # 1B3BA46E2GG206826 garage kept throughout its life converted from a 4 cyl front wheel drive to a Big Block rear wheel drive car. What you are bidding on is a stunning impressive car recreated by an engineer. The work men ship and thought put into this car is show winning. Originally built it ran a big block, in time the 2nd owner pulled the big block and installed a 360. Both were very fast safe and fun to drive cars. I received the car less motor and trains and since picked up a late model 440 and 727 trains. Motor turns over real nice. Both need rebuilding. Custom headers are in place. Car is missing Rad. fuel pump, shifter, exhaust system and carpet. There is a 8&3/4 rear end in the car, leaf springs with 11& 1/2" rear tires. Car will take 15" tires by narrowing rear end. Car has been nicely tubed. Back half is 2x3 tubing and car has been tied together and supported very well. The car has a fuel cell not shown in pictures mounted in the rear of car between leafs and fueling is done from behind the car. A custom built drive shaft comes with car. Oil pan will have to be ordered as a rear sump pan.
Front end has struts and Chrome Molly lower control arms. Rad. cool tank is in place as is the trans cooler. Disc brakes up front and brakes work great. All electrical is in tack and ready for reconnecting. Trans cross member is in place. Motor mounts holding engine in are the small block mounts, I did not receive the big block mounts with the car. To fab new big block mounts is simply working off the design of the small block mounts. Tires and wheels are all new.
Paint is Black and the paint is in very good condition. No dents, never any rust, nor damage to the body. Car over all for a 1986 is excellent. Interior is as well in excellent condition. In short, this car is a great find for one that wants a light weight power house that will turn heads and draw a crowd. And for one that has a big block power plant or 426 Hemi ready to go. It's simply dropping it in and rolling.
My plans were to drop a 5.7 Hemi I have into this car but I simply have to many other projects and I'm just going to sell the car.
When bidding on this car, do take into account the condition of this car and what you would have to pay to get one this nice to transform it into a big block rear wheel drive power house. Then take into account the cost, labor and time it would cost and take you to transform another car such as this one into what I already have. You simply can't do it for what I want for this car.
This car comes with a clear title and is being sold as is, no warranty, no returns. A $500.00 deposit must be direct deposited within 48 hours to my bank. No Pay Pal. I'm honest and I present what your getting for what it is. The miles on this car are unknown to me, what is posted on ebay were just numbers for posting. So good luck, while I am not forced into having to sell this car. I would like to sell it. Joe is my name. I have a reseve set on this car but I will entertain all serious offers at the end of the sale.
