This is a former army generator/ service truck. The generator and any tools have long since been removed. It came from the GSA auction in Auburn, Wa. I believe they used it as a mobile tool box at the site but don't know the history beyond that. The odomiter reads over 6,000 but there is no way to tell what the actual mileage is. I don't have the time to do what I was planning with it and don't want to see it just sit. That's the only reason I'm selling it. You can see from the pictures it's in decent shape for its age. Motor fires right up and sounds good. So far I've replaced/done..
Removed the front seat and stripped down any rust on the floo, then treated it with a rust converter. The floor boards had some small holes in a couple places. I didn't think it necceary to replace the whole pan so I covered them with fiberglass, primed the whole floor area then put truck bedliner coating down. I can furnish before pictures if wanted.
New battery
Front brakes including rotors, pads, brake lines, and calipers
Front U joints
Upper and lower ball joints both sides
Tie rods
Steering/pitman arm
New front wheel bearings and seals
Rear brakes including drum, wheel cylinder, shoes and spring kit.
Complete weatherseal kit for both doors, New seatbeltsWhat it needs.....
Windshield needs new gasket because it does leak some when it rains.
Could use an alignment
Speedometer bounces around so it could use a new cable.
Heater selector is stuck on defrost
Has a slow draw on battery if it's not ran for a few days the battery will be dead.
Aside from that....
Haven't done anything to the motor, which is a 318, as it doesn't seem to need anything. This could become a great hunting rig, bug out appocolyps/zombie truck or anything else you can dream up. Any questions feel free to ask.
