This is an unrestored, one owner 51,746 mile 1971 Dodge Charger R/T . It is powered by it's original matching numbers engine and transmission, 440-4bbl and a console shifted 727 torqueflight . This car has had only one repaint, and that was over 30 years ago, it is Extremely solid, absolutely no underside rust or rot, the floor pans, frame rails, rockers, inner wheel houses, trunk extensions, are rust free. The trunk floor is amazing, still sports it's original jack assembly, and original cloth floor mat. The exterior is also pretty much rust free, with the exception of a small area behind the drivers lower rear quarter panel, and a couple small blisters on the passenger bottom rear corner of the door, and blistering near the front of the hood hinge area. And the last spots are under vinyl top below the rear window area, and that's it. This car is truly a super solid, original R/T. This car was ordered new on 10/12/1970 at Future Motors, Inc on Long Island, New York, where it spent it's entire life until a couple months ago when I acquired it. I have every bit of the original paperwork, the order sheet that was filled out by the salesperson and original owner, the original window sticker, the owners manual with all the customer car, safety equipment check list, clean air brochur, Chrysler makes it happen Captain brochure, Airtemp brochure, change of address or owner card, warranty and limitation of liability pamphlet, Scat Pack club magazine, Dodge news magazine with the dealer and owners name on them. All extremely cool stuff to save all those years, I also found one complete Broadcast sheet, and two partial ones. Okay, the Vin on the engine and transmission are matching to the car, along with the door jamb decal, fender tag, Vin on dash, Vin on radiator support, title, window sticker, ect, ect. The car was ordered with the following options, WS23 R/T package, E86 440-4bbl, 370 HP Engine, D32 Torqueflight Transmission, D6X9 Bucket Seats, C16 Console with Slap Stick Shifter, N85 Tachometer, D91 3.55 Sure Grip, S77 Power Steering, FE5 Bright Red, V1X Black Vinyl Top, L37 Concealed Headlamps, P31 Power Windows, G11 Tinted Glass, M85 Front and Rear Bumper Guards, N42 Bright Exhaust Tips, R11 AM Radio, R31 Rear Speaker, V6X Accent Stripes, U86 G60-15 Raised White Letter Tires, A01 Light Group. These are all shown on the original window sticker and broadcast sheets. The interior is 100 % original to the car with the exception of the carpet, the original just had a musty odor so I replaced it, I also replaced the sill plates at that time, the dash pad is mint, all dash and gauges are very nice and in working order, all the seats are in excellent condition with the exception of the drivers seat has seams splitting. nice original headliner, it has an aftermarket radio, but I have the original. The original owner had a CB installed at one point, now removed, but the antenna is still present on the trunk lid, no holes were drilled to install it. The car runs and drives well, pulls hard, feels like higher gears could have been installed at one point. The gas tank was replaced recently due to sitting in storage for years, just to be safe, the original carburator was rebuild, and new carb to fuel separator line, new fuel separator, new fuel pump, and line to separator. It also has a new battery, new reproduction battery cables, starter relay and new mini starter (they work better) but I have the original starter, new alternator, new washer bottle I also had the original air cleaner sand blasted and powder coated in the black wrinkle finish as original, and replaced the 440 pie tin, I have the original one also, I also had installed new reproduction exhaust tips. This is truly a one owner car prior to my ownership, it has so much original documentation, super solid, runs great, and first time ever offered for sale. It's not a show car, so don't expect one, it's just a super clean original car that tore up the streets of Long Island for 46 years, (other then stored years of course). I also replaced the day 2 slotted mags with tires that barely held air that were on it when I bought it, with new U.S. Mags with Mickey Thompson Tires, 255/60-15's front, 275/60-15's on the rear. I do not have, nor did the original owner, have the original wheels. It comes with a signed off registration by the original owner, New York didn't, and still doesn't require a Title for all cars prior to 1973. So here's a rare opportunity to own a piece of Mopar History, that hasn't been past around to a half dozen owners to mess with it. If you have any questions, call Todd, Six 1 Six 4 4 Six 3 Six 2 4. The car is located in Sparta, MI. Sorry I tried to add more pictures, but it wouldn't allow me to for some reason, call me or email me and I'll send you a Dropbox link. tgvollink@gmail.com
