Dodge Other Pickups 1968 Description

This is a sweetheart. It drives nice, rides nice, starts well, performs, and sounds great. The only rust is the lower rockers, and it is just perforating a little. There are a few bubbles on one door,at the bottom. There is a bit on the driverside mounting bolt near the brake pedal. Also, the glass packs are rusted through. The hanger for the original exhaust is still there, and I did not know what the new owner would desire,so I left it alone. The rest of the truck is pretty much undamaged, and it has never been wrecked. There are some small dings here and there, nd someone fixed a spot on the tailgate between the d and the g.It has obviously been repainted, nd it was poorly done,by my standards. It shines nice, and gets thumbs up from old and young alike wherever you go. There is a receipt for the Amco transmission rebuild in the console, and it shifts great, squeals off the line, nd chirps into second. The tires are great tread, but old and hard.It has studded snows on the back.Because it has not been damaged, the doors shut perfectly, and the interior is quiet, with no wind noise. It is eerily quiet and comfortable inside, for an old car. Both the heater and defroster function as they should. It has a camper back window,(factory??),I believe solely for ventilation. It had gaps in the front and rear glass seals,so I bought replacements forthem fromSteel Rubber Products. The chrome bead is not the same as the original,so I stopped with the front. The rear seal, nd new chrome go with the truck.I put in a new Pilkington tinted windshield.I did the door window seals too.It needs door seals, and vent rubbers, ut they seal well now.The vinyl is cracked on the seats from age,but are there,to see what they were originally. This is a soli, useable truck, hat is heavily optione, especially for that time, and could be driven daily now, without fear, while you spruce it up. All of the original books, paperwork, and plastic folder, are in the glove box..The truck was purchased by Mr McCorkle new,(his name is in the book, and on the Chrysler metal warranty plate),and then sold to a man, inherited by his son,and then inherited by his daughter who I bought it from.It was treasured by her grandfather, and was his pride and joy.He installed air horns, and they really work.I took 92 pictures,if you want to see anything let me know.I should have cleaned it up better, but it is 36 degrees here.I would like to keep this, ut I am told I need the money more, nd I have no room in the garage. This should be inside.I am not a Dodge expert, ut it is the best early truck that I have ever seen of this mark. Please ask any questions, his will stand up to any inspection, and I have nothing to hide. Thanks for lookin'.
