Dodge Challenger 1970 Description
1970Dodge Challenger R/T. Original R/T Not a clone. Original Sublime Green FJ5 Car. This was a high impact color for 1970 and I don't think there are too many of these still around. Unfinished project. Car came from Oregon 11 years ago and I have a clear Oregon Title. All numbers on Radiator Support, Firewall, Dash, Drivers door all match. 383 motor came out of a 1970 Superbee. I was told the motor ran well when it was pulled from the Superbee a few years ago. Fender Tag is missing but they can be made. Vin tag on Dashpad is original to car.
Car is very solid compared to most. What you see in the pictures is what comes with car
Original color is FJ5 Sublime green. its a 10 footer. Some bodywork needs to be done yet and repainted. Hood on car is so so. If restoring for show I would definitely replace it. I left the inner door panels off so you could see the color on the inner doors is original.
Needs center trunk pan replaced. Also a couple of spots on the passenger front & rear floor area.
Frame rails are are very nice, probably the nicest Ive seen on a Challenger. Original quarters on car. Roof has Fiberglass in it
Rally dash Gauges and Dash wiring harness are missing. I wouldn't trust wiring on 40+ year old car anyway.
I don't have any keys for the car
Options are Auto Trans, Vinyl Top, Light package, Power Steering, Center Console, Drivers remote mirror, Dual Exhaust, Side R/T Black stripes and the R/T package.
Comes with 2 transmissions, One is a date correct 727. Also 1969 4 barrel carb goes with car.
New parts include,Rear Air shocks, Front Shocks, Mopar sill Plates, 383 hood emblems, Battery, Starter, Mopar Performance Regulator & Electronic Ignition module.
This is not a piece of junk. A lot of time and money have been put into this car already, A very good foundation for an original Sublime Green R/T. This car will definitely turn heads when done.
