Dodge Challenger 1970 Description
I'm a 64 year old Senior selling my 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. I have owned the car for over 14 years and it was originally from Atlanta, Georgia the first 30+ years. This explains why the complete body is solid, rust and Bondo free. All Body panels are original and the seams and gaps are good and match up evenly. The car was painted "Pennington Gold" by the first owner before I purchased the car . The original color from what I was told was "Gold Metallic" The paint is remarkable and shimmers in the sunlight making it a one of a kind Mopar. The VIN # indicates this is a "REAL R/T" no wannabe clone here... I found a build sheet under the rear seat springs but it was to another car. The engine block # is a 1970 383 Magnum 4 Bbl Carter AVS carb that runs and sounds great. Valve covers are in perfect condition (photo). The intake and exhaust manifold #'s are correct and exhaust system is in great condition from the motor to the original back chrome tips.. This car has the "Mopar Rumble" that turns heads wherever you go!...the actual mileage reads 39,240...All Chrome, trim and bumpers are remarkable in like almost "New" condition. I recently converted the 11" drum front brakes to power disc brakes and this car will stop on a dime! This car is set up for air conditioning, but the unit was removed many decades ago...A CUSTOM CAR COVER IS INCLUDED! Please notice the 'ORIGINAL MAGNUM 500 WHEELS" along with new white letter tires that still have the rubber numbs on them. Transmission is original an "AUTOMATIC" with a smooth shifting slap stick. The rear end is the original 3:23 gear with no issues ever. Interior is Black leather and in "MINT" condition. Original AM radio with chrome push buttons face remain in tact. I had a manufacturer in Tampa Bay, Florida install the inner workings to a new 180 watt Dolby Stereo / Ipod . ($600.00). All glass and windows are in great shape no chips or cracks. Windows roll properly and all locks and keys work great. Rear Monroe air shocks are on the car but seldom used. I will answer any questions that you may have to the best of my ability. Car is located in Michigan and I spent almost 2 years traveling the U.S.A. until I finally found this great classic. Car has never seen rain or snow since I owned it and tracks straight as an arrow..... I remain a 100% E Bayer from the very start...Please read some of my reviews and bid with confidence...one lucky person is going to have many great Summers to drive and show this beautiful....MUSCLE CAR!!! WINNING BIDDER IS REQUIRED TO SEND A $1000 DEPOSIT WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTIONS END. IF YOUR NOT ABLE TO DO.... THIS PLEASE DON"T BID!!! REMAINING BALANCE AND TRANSACTION WILL TAKE PLACE AT MY LOCAL BANK of AMERICA. ONCE PAYMENT CLEARS NEW OWNER WILL BE GIVEN CLEAR TITLE, KEYS, and CAR.
