Dodge Other Pickups 1985 Description
For sale is a 1985 Dodge Ram W350 crew cab with a Cummins 6BT and 5-Speed manual from a '97 Dodge 3500. The engine is a p-pump (P7100) engine and nv4500 transmission. The engine had 135,000 miles when swapped in, has about 145,000 miles on the engine now. Transmission is freshly rebuilt. Has 3.54 gears in the axles. Dana 60's front and rear. The axles were rebuilt with all new bearing when the engine was installed. Has the stock NP205 with an upgraded 29-spline input shaft and new bearings when the engine was put in. Has an aluminum intercooler from a superduty. Dual Optima batteries. A/C works. 4" exhaust from turbo back. Has 285/75 BFG all terrain tires on 16" ford Alcoa wheels. Runs great and is in awesome mechanical condition. The body can use some more work. Has front and rear seats from a 2003 Dodge but they are not in great shape. The drivers seat has a couple holes but it is electric. The carpet is new aftermarket with thick pad. It needs rear door panels still. The paint is home done so it's not a professional job. Has a brake controller and has both 7-pin RV and a 4-pin plug in the bumper. Tows great. This truck spent it's life in NM so no rust.

A little detail on the swap. The dash and wiring harness are from a '90 dodge that had a diesel in it. The body has the original '85 wiring harness. The engine sensors have been swapped to '90 sensors. I also wired in a push button start. The key is still used to turn the truck on and the start button used to start it.
