Dodge Ramcharger 1988 Description
This 1988 Dodge Ramcharger LE 4x4 with only 98,000 miles and yes the odometer does work, s up for auction with NO RESERVE and being sold for parts due to the fact it has a lost title and of course is being sold as-is with no warranty. This a very solid vehicle withminimal rust as shown in the pictures there are 8 spots on the passenger side 1/4 panel just below the 1/4 glass about the size of a quarter and one on the bottom just behind the rear wheel about the size of a pear. There is one spot the size of a dime on the drivers side 1/4 panel just below the glass. The hood has very very lite surface rust in a few spots due to the clear coat peeling and the joint in the drip rail in the rear center. the rest of the truck is very solid I haven't seen any signs of bondo and it appears to of been painted only once, ctually the Burgundy will buff up to an ok finish but the silver needs to be refinished. There is a smooth dent in the drivers door and the clear coat peeled off the top where your arm would touch it there maybe 3 door dings in the whole truck. In my opinion there is about 4 hrs body work on the truck. The motor (360 4bl V8) runs solid no knocks or ticks just replaced the fuel pump and a few ignition parts and have more new ign parts still in boxes theexhaust manifolds leak but the rest of the exhaust system is good. The AC compressor engages but the system needs some relays and probably needs to be evacuated and recharged there are no visible leaks in the system. The tranny and rear end are fine the 4x4 worked when I parked it 2 or 3 yrs ago, ow I can't get it out of 2wd not sure what the problem is linkage orvacuum? It is usually an easy fix according to the message boards I've checked. This is most likely a numbers matching truck but I never got around to checking it. The smog pump is not connected and appears to be locked up but it is all intact. The one lower molding on the drivers side 1/4 window needs to be repaired or replaced it was bent the rest of the bright work is very good. The interior is in excellent condition the cloth seats had Grandmas Clear Plastic covers on them until recently and are like new the headliner is perfect but faded the plastic on the door panels are slightly faded on the tops the carpet is very good the center console has a very small crack/hole the size of a BB on one corner. Both power window motors work the drivers side needs a new gear but you can help the window up or down. The door locks don't work, never checked out why. Never tried the cruise control, ut the radio, clock, int & exterior lights work, ll thegauges work, tilt wheel is fine the steering wheel is excellent. There are 2 sets of oem keys. All the glass is good and has the vin #etched on it the windshield has no chips or stars . The dash has no cracks and looks great. The 4 tires have plenty of tread and no signs of dry rot,but they have been sitting for years so its a crap shoot if they are highway safe, here are 4 matching wheels and 1 spare wheel not matching. The front bumper is chrome and very nice the rear is painted and straight also. I bought this truck about 8 yrs. ago withintentionsof restoring it and as you can seehaven'tgotten around to it, 'm loosing my storage space so my loss is your gain. This truck will be a very easy restore,,,did I mention it runs and drives and was in A Tom Cruise Movie (Rock of Ages) for about one tenth of a second. Like I said before the TITLE IS LOST AND I AM SELLING THIS TRUCK ON A BILL OF SALE FOR PARTS. You could get a title fairly easy for the truck but for me to do it and then sell the truck it would add on about $1,000 and probably take 2 to 4 weeks. I tried to describe this truck asaccurately as possible but I'm sure I missed something so feel free to have a presale inspectio, ,,,call or text 954-907-2124 or e-mail through e-bay if you have any questions.
