Ford Fairlane 1963 Description
This car is a 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 it appears to be in original condition. That is it has a 200 cubic inch 6cyl. engine that was running well when parked about 5 years ago. The transmission also worked well, the floor boards seem pretty good shape at least all are present, I bought this to fix up for my daughter and then she wanted a newer car not a classic. so I am selling this as an Uncompleted project. There is some rust issue under the passenger side front end and a repair piece was made for this but is not welded in yet. .I have a clean and clear title in my name. Build your own Thunder Bolt This is a 53 year old automobile so expect dings, scratches, Bad paint, headliner is down some spots of rust and dry rot on tires. But also the potential to be fixed up for a very nice ride. The original owners manual will be included in the sale The price on these seems to be going up all the time and I've seen some Thunder Bolt clones in the $40,000.00 range. so bid to own it as there is no reserve on this auction. Vehicle will need to be towed from this location and I can assist with loading onto a trailer. The car is showing 59,400 miles and this may or may not be accurate. This car will be available for pickup on or after 9-6-2016, pickup must be scheduled. On Aug-26-16 at 08:03:27 PDT, seller added the following information:UPDATE 8-26-2016 More photos added. When I checked under the hood. The antifreeze was full in the radiator. The engine oil was low and dirty but still in the safe operating range. I put a battery in and primed the carb. and the car started and ran off of the fuel in the tank for several minutes until I turned it off. There seems to be an exhaust leak as it was loader than it should be and the generator light was on in the dash. In the trunk I had forgotten there are several new items for the car. Included in the trunk is a jack and a goodyear spare that has not been used, new rubber for windshield and back glass, shop manual, new belt, new parking lamp lenses, blower motor, oil, gas and air filter, heater blower motor resistor, 2 adjustable ball joint plates. The trunk is not rusted out and felt firm everywhere and the trunk opens, closes and locks as it should. There are three sets of keys, Two sets are the original ford keys and one set is copied.
