1937 Ford Four Door Sedan Convertible Street Rod
You are viewing an original all still Ford with only 4,300 built in 37.Very few all original steel cars of this model exist today.They are very rare and very cool when built right.This car has a long history in the NW.The car was in the Spokane area in the 40’s and 50’s purchased in the early 60’s and went to Montana.It was bought and brought back to Spokane in 2006.Very original car with excellent sheet metal.Since the early 60’s when it was in Montana it was indoors and stored up until the time of purchase in 2006 (44 years).The build was started in 2009 and finished in 2011 with 4K miles driven since finished.A complete and full professional restoration, which cost 150K.Marty Stromberger built the car from Spokane, WA who was one of the key builders on the 38 Lincoln Zephyr and 36 Chrysler Airflow Street Rods, both built here in Spokane and sold at Barrett Jackson 2004 and 2005 for 400 and 500K.Records to this day.This car is a high end professionally build with a lot of attention to detail and it shows.Drives and rides excellent at any speed.

Body/Paint:The body is all steel and was in excellent condition since it spent half of its life indoors in storage.There was so little rust that no panels were needed during restoration.A very solid body with original floor and trunk pans, door skins, fenders, etc.Running boards are also original steel.Firewall set back with new front tunnel to provide extra engine room.All body panels, door were worked to provide a near perfect fit, shaved, added to in order to get the best fit as possible and it shows.Extra metal added to rear tube to give the body extra strength.Cory (CG Customs) did the excellent paint work and finish.Multiple primer coats and blocking to get a proper base for paint.The paint is base/clear Viper red and super nice.Wet sanded, buffed and polished to a show finish.All locks work including the glove box.Front bra and cover come with the car.
Interior:The interior is stunning using hi grade vinyl and leather inserts.Red with darker red leather inserts.The front seat is stationary.German square weave carpet that really show off the interior.Finished out at C&B in Spokane known for very high end interiors.Classic Instrument gauges, tach, speedo, volt, temp, oil pressure, boost, air pressure and fuel.Air pressure gauge is mounted in glove box along with remote antenna that can be placed on dash and hide back away.Stereo single CD player with 4 speaker set up hidden under passenger seat MP3 and iPod ready with holder that folds out.Hidden tool box under seat.Lokar shifter.The dash is stunning using custom made knobs for AC matched to stock Ford style in 37.Electric wipers and electric cowl vent.I did it stock style steering column with custom made steering wheel to match the aesthetics of the interior and very cool.Vintage AC with custom vents mounted to added valance made to look stock for the car.The valance looks like it came from the factory.Power steering and brakes.The trunk is fully finished out with storage, battery, valves and compressor for front bagged suspension.Full size spare tire with jack.
Top:The frame is original and restored in excellent condition with no pitting and power coated black.New wood with rechromed fasteners’.The top is high quality Mercedes Benz convertible cloth material with boot professionally hand made by C&B in Spokane.
Running Gear:The engine is a dressed CSB 350 with mild cam, Demon 650 cfm carb, HEI ignition, roller tip rockers, aluminum painted intake.Dropped radiator mount to lower the Walker stock style radiator providing a flush mount to grill top with SS cover.Mechanical fan and runs cool.Custom inner fender work for the turbo cold air intake pipes, which are power coated.Polished pop off valves.Turbos mounted under car in front of the rear axle.Hot pipes are ceramic coated.Twin Turbos are T3/T4 mounted to chassis.Producing around 400 HP.The car really pulls with the turbos and is a blast to drive at any speed.The transmission is a TH 350 with shift kit.The rear end is a Ford 8.9 inch with highway gears with posi.Gas tank is new stock style steel and painted.Electric fuel pump and custom made turbo oil reservoir.Custom driveline.
Suspension:Original frame, boxed in the front for the rack, restored and powder coated.Custom fabricated to accommodate front TCI power rack and steering suspension welded to frame.Front sway bar and air bags (front only).Custom cross members for trans and rear suspension.Very professionally done and it shows.The underside of the car is as nice as the top.Rear is TCI spring and HD shocks.
Bright work:All completely restored chrome or polished stainless steel.Very nice.
Glass:All new and tinted.Roll up widows’ work excellent and all match when the top is up with windows rolled up and center post installed.
Exhaust:Exhaust pipes are 3 inch polished stainless steel with turbo mufflers.Sounds awesome.
Brakes:Four wheel power disc brakes (TCI).Stops excellent.E brake works.
Wheels/Tires:Steel wheels painted pearl yellow with chrome spiders and rings 15 inch front and 17 inch rear.Tires are Diamond Backs WW in like new condition
