Ford Ranchero 1959 Description

Listing as "Buy It Now" after auction bidder claimed to be an Oceanographer out at sea and wanted me to wire money to someplace. Now asking $1,000.00 less than the original auction starting price. I'm very flexible on allowing you time to come and get it.
Selling a 1959 Ford Ranchero. Dad pulled this from a field (salvage title) and built it to race at drag strips in Ohio mid-1960s. He then drove it to work every day until parked in the mid-1970s. It became my first vehicle upon getting my driver's license around 1980. I drove it for appx. three years before parking it again and it has sat in Dad's garage since then. A handful of years later, a disassembly was started for restoration but stopped there. The frame is solid. The flooring is mostly there but with the worst areas being at the front floor pans and down the rockers, back outer sides of the bed, and body mount locations. Small holes behind the seats and towards the front of bed, and in the pans under the bed. There are old repairs to the rear lower areas and front edge above headlights of front fenders but they otherwise look solid, including wheel openings. Back quarters need replaced. The included "Ford 1949-1959 Illustrations Manual" should help greatly with body restoration. The brake assemblies are still intact at all four wheels. All the wiring from firewall appears to still be under the hood with generator and voltage regulator still connected. The dashboard is still in place with wiring connected. Back and driver's side glass cracked. Windshield has some wiper scratches. 3.90:1 in the pumpkin. I don't know what can be done with the engine as it's been sitting outside for a few years.
