Update to questions received: *Please post your question publicly so that can be viewed by all* Truck has a factory heater, o A/C. No stereo and the door and kick panels have never been cut for speakers, nly factory speaker holes exist. In cab fuel tank has been removed, river and passenger side saddle tanks with floor valve operational. C6 transmission has been mated to the 390 with upgrades to manage the horsepower and torque in addition to a performance shift kit. Truck can pop tires loose in 2nd gear under full acceleration. Both tanks currently holding fuel and in use. Yes, he truck will tow a trailer, used it to tow a 10,000 pound bobcat on an 18 foot trailer from a rental facility to the ranch last year. Truck has plenty of power and pulls very strong. Will post additional pictures and a video with sound. No, his would not be a good first truck for youth, t has to much power in my opinion for a youth to operate with lack of modern safety and drive train options. Truck is manual steering, anual brakes, anual hubs. Wipers work, o water tank hooked up for windshield wash. Have original tank.
"Why sell and what did you intend to do with the truck?" I acquired this truck with the intent to perform a full frame off restoration and chose this truck due to the fact it has the best body I have come across in years, o rust thru, o body work, ll orignal panels and uncut metal. Plus I love the colors on it with the camper mirrors. There is very superficial surface rust as shown in the pictures on the hood and cab top. No pitting. Frame is perfect. Axles I intended to replace with donor truck units that come with the sale of this truck after modifying the rear axels to disc providing for full disc brakes. In addition to being a Ranger Highboy, am a huge fan of the FE engines. The 360 is a good engine, ut I prefer the power of the 390s. The 390 in the truck was built in a manner I would with about the power range I desire. The transmission has also been set up the same way. I have had the truck in my barn the last year plus with a complete build sheet ready to pull the trigger and at 40 years old have come to realize, have to many toys. Between a 71 K5 Blazer similar to the one in my profile picture on Ebay, 99 Tahoe 2 door with barn doors and a Chevelle Malibu in waiting, don't have the physical space or time for my current projects and am unable to move forward withour freeing up space. If truck does not sell for my minimum which is less than the buy it now and equal to what I am into it for, will move it to a family garage and park it for the next year while I complete my current projects. Then I will restore the truck and sell as a completed modernized restoration.
"Can you restore the truck?" Yes, can provide a bid for a basic (mechanical/operational) or full frame off restoration and will provide labor at a discounted rate. Winning bidder must pay for truck in full in advance and any items to be improved up front before work is performed. This would be a much more in depth conversation I would have once the truck is purchased, o many options to discuss via eBay to determine wants and needs for a restoration project of this type. Yes, have plenty of examples of mine and my families work on cars ranging from pre-war to current modern cars.
