Ford Model A 1928 Description

Up for auction is a 1928 Ford Model A 2 door sedan. This is a high end car with lots of chrome and custom touches. This car has a steel body with a 2 ½ inch chop, filled roof and flush mount suicide doors. The doors have power windows and electric openers. The fenders are fiberglass as well as the 32 ford grille shell. The hood and side panels are steel. The paint is Ferrari Red with custom flames and pinstriping.

The interior is very nice and is covered in a grey tweed material. Custom dash with VDO gauges and custom pinstriping. The steering column is a tilt GM topped with a leather wrapped Lecarra steering wheel. Headliner is also covered in gray tweed. There is a Sony AM/FM/CD player in the overhead console with 2 speakers up front and 2 in the rear. The car is equipped with Vintage Air-conditioning with polished compressor and polished dryer.

The chassis is a Boyd Coddington Super Ride with Kugel chrome independent front suspension and QA1 Coil over shocks. The front brakes are disc with aluminum 4 piston calipers. The Rear is chromed out Kugel independent with coil over shocks. Not sure what brand the rear coil over shocks are. The rear center section is Corvette with 3.08 gears and posi traction. The rear brakes are disc with the aluminum 4 piston calipers mounted inboard. The car is equipped with a Walker radiator and air-conditioning condenser. The wheels are custom Boyd Coddington wheels.

The engine is a 350 Chevy with a fresh rebuild. The engine is bored .060 over with Hypereutectic pistons and Moly rings. The crankshaft is turned .010 with Clevite rod and main bearings. New Lunati cam and lifters, double roller timing chain and Clevite cam bearings. The heads have a fresh 3 angle valve job, bronze wall guides and new valve springs. A new oil pump was installed as well as new chrome timing cover and oil pan. The engine is topped with a polished aluminum intake with a new Holley 670 Street Avenger carburetor. The ignition system is a stock GM distributor with a new Mallory Unilite conversion, new chrome coil and Taylor sparkplug wires.

The transmission is a Turbo 400 with a recent fluid and filter change.

This is a very nice car that was built in the late 90s. The odometer shows 17,650 miles. The car has obviously been driven some so it has a few rock chips here and there. There is a little wear in the driver seat bolster. There is also a small crack in the speedometer lens. The tires are a little more than ¼ tread. I have went through this car front to back changing all fluids including the brake fluid. It runs and drives very well and was recently driven 350 miles in one weekend with no problems. I have a clear Missouri title in hand.
