Let's get "THE" question out of the way. My reserve is $19,500.00
Over $65,000 in REAL cash money invested in the build.
Built with the inspiration of George Barris, Gene Winfield, and Larry Watson. A TRUE 1960's -style Kustom build.
Featured on the COVER of the March 2007 issue of Rod & Custom Magazine, with a 4 page color spread feature article inside. One copy of the magazine is included in the sale. How many guys out there can say their car was featured in a national magazine?WELL, YOU CAN !!! Lots of the details of the build can be found in that article.
Car has been featured in many magazines, websites, calendars, etc., across the globe.
Trophy winner many times in it's history.
Car was formally invited to the Detroit Autorama and the Gambino Sit Down. You can still expect to trophy at most shows.
In the last 5 years, there has been less than 300 miles put on the car, however it is started and run on a regular basis. It is stored inside. We recently drove it200 miles to and it ran flawlessly with 20 mpg. Just perfect.
The build was started about 2005 with a rust free car, and the project was led by the noted mid west builder Alex Test. (R.I.P.)
There is no rust now and there never was any rust.
The bottom of the car is rust free, as are the panels throughout the car
All the panels are hand formed, included trunk, doors, hood, quarter panels, etc. There is over 100 man hours per side on just the spears.
The custom work is incredible.
The dash is painted and pinstriped by Dr. Ru
The headlights are 1952-1954 Ford
The grill is custom made stainless steel rod
The front lip of the hood is hand made and extended 4 inches
The side spears are extended into the quarter panels
The rear tail lights are 1952 Ford housings with 2004 ThunderBird lenses
The interior is 1969 Ford Thunderbird. Note the wrap-a-round rear seat. I have NEW, in the box, black carpet if you choose to swap out the white for a more practical driver.
The car has $20,000 in real money invested in just the paint and body.
The car is appraised at about $60,000.
The roof has ten coats of pearl metal flake with clear coat. House of Kolor.
The body is also painted a blend of House of candy apple Kolor Lime Time Green (a custom blend). 4 stage paint job & I have the correct paints to match if you ever need to touch it up.
The car has all new front suspension. Over $1200 spent on parts alone
The alternator is brand new.
The AC compressor is about a year old.
The rear suspension is on 2" lowering blocks with air shocks. Fully adjustable for whatever look you'd like.
The lake pipes are not functional. They are not hooked up. The dual exhaust exits through the rear and sounds excellent. It has headers. Soundsvery mellow like hot rod should … not too loud .
390 V8 motor with a brand new Edelbrock carb, new HEI distributor and wires, new radiator, tune up, gaskets, etc. Needs nothing but a new driver. NO SMOKE,NO NOISE.
The car has the following:
Power steering
Power disc brakes
Automatic transmission with cooler
Power locks (poppers for the doors and the trunk on a key fob)
FORD Air Conditioning the blows cold with new parts
All the lights work and the horn works.
All the chrome is excellent
All the windows are excellent
The paint is excellent
Real Astro Supreme wheels and nice white wall tires.
Stereo and speakers are brand new
The car runs and drives excellent
I would have no reservations about driving this car from coast to coast if you'd wish. It's ready-to-go NOW. Everyone stops & surrounds the car everywhere we go. It draws a crowd. NO ONE ELSE ON THE PLANET WILL HAVE A CAR LIKE YOURS !!!If I have to explain that to yo, you are NOT a car guy or gal. This beautiful ride is UNDER priced at $19,500.00.Lubbock, Texas806 787 4742
