HERE I HAVE A 428 Q CODE MACH 1 THAT IS MOSTLY APART AND WILL TAKE A SOMETIME TO GO THRU THE PARTS THAT IT HAS AND DONT HAVE. I WONT BE ABLE TO THINK OF EVRYTHING HERE BUT YOU CAN CALL ME AND I WILL GET QUESTIONS ANSWERED. THERE ARE 88 PHOTOS HERE IN TO HELP WITH QUESTIONS.
THIS CAR WAS BASICLY ALL APART WHEN WE GOT IT, IT WAS DOWN TO A ROLLER. IT HAD BEEN SAND BLASTED IN AREAS AND HAS SAT INSIDE BUT NOT TOUCHED FOR A FEW YEARS. IT WASNT PREMIERED, SO IT HAS LIGHT SURFACE RUST. LOOKS WORSE THAN IT IS. ACTUALLY PRETTY SOLID AND STRAIGHT FOR A 69. WE PUT DASH IN AND SOME OTHER PARTS ON JUST TO HELP SHOW THAT ITS MOSTLY HERE.
1ST IS PROOF THATS ITS A Q CODE. VIN ON DASH AND UNDER BOTH FENDERS MATCH, SEE PHOTOS. I ALSO HAVE MARTY REPORT SHOWING IT CAME WITH 428 NON RAM AIR, 4 SPEED TOP LOADER, POWER STEERING AND POWER DISC BRAKES AND 9 REAREND. IT ALSO SHOWS IT WAS LIME GOLD WITH BLACK PAINTED HOOD AND OTHER STRIPES.
ENGINE: IT COMES WITH A NON ORIGINAL 428 ENGINE THAT HAS BEEN TESTED AND CLEANED. I WAS TOLD USED 70 SERVICE BLOCK. PHOTOS SHOW 2 CAST #s AND ONE STAMP THAT READS (DAND.7). ALSO HAS CLEANED AND TESTED HEADS # C8OE-6090-N 428 HEADS WITH VALVES AND OTHER HEAD PARTS, STANDERD 428 CJ PISTONS THAT ARE USED AND CLEANED WITH NEW STANDERD RODS. THE CRANK IS PART # U1 AND SHOULD BE TURNED 10, SEE PHOTOS. ALSO HAVE RECIEPTS FROM MACHINE SHOP FOR HEAD AND BLOCK WORK.
OTHER 428 SPECIFIC PARTS THAT IT HAS ARE OIL PAN, SUMP, 2 PULLIES, TIMING POINTER, TIMING COVER, 1 MOTOR MOUNT, AND OIL FILTER MOUNT. THERE ARE OTHER PARTS BUT NOT SURE IF 428 ONLY. ONE BOX PHOTO SHOWS POW STEER PUMP AND REAR SPRING MOUNT PARTS MARKED 428.
NOW LETS TALK ABOUT WHATS MISSING AND THIS WILL BE WHAT I CAN THINK OF: THE 9 INCH REAREND IS GONE AND IT HAS AN 8 INCH THAT HAS NO PIG. NO DRIVE SHAFT, NO TRANSMISSION, NO SHIFTER, NO CLUTCH OR BELL HOUSE, NO EXH MANIFOLDS, NO INTAKE, NO DISTRIBUTOR, NO CARB, NO AIR CLEANER, NO RADIATOR OR HOSES, NO WATER PUMP, NO CAM, NO VALVE COVERS.
OTHER BODY PARTS MISSING OR NEEDED IS DOOR GLASS, HAS CRACKED WINDSHIELD, NO DOOR PANELS, CARPET, SEAT COVERS, DASH PAD, HEADLINER, BUMPERS, FRONT BUMPER MOUNT, DOOR HANDLES, WEATHER STRIP, FRONT VALANCE, LOCK SET, IGNITIO, WINDSHIELD TRIM, HOOD AND GRILLE TRIM, EMBLEMS, HAS NEW GAS TANK AND NECK BUT NO SENDING UNIT, AND LEFT TOE BOARD NEEDS REPLACED.
NEW PARTS THAT COME WITH CAR OR ALREADY INSTALLED: QUARTER ON RIGHT IS NEW AND JUST SCREWED ON FOR SHIPPING, DROP DOWN PANEL, RT OUTER WHEEL HOUSE, TAIL PANEL, RIGHT INNER FENDER, BATT TRAY, PIECE OF FLOOR. ALREADY HAS NICELY MOUNTED RIGHT FLOOR AND LEFT REAR, AND NICELY MOUNTED DOOR SKINS.
RUST TO REPAIR: THE GUY HAD SAND BLASTED THE TRUNK, INSIDE QUARTERS FLOORS, ENGINE BAY AND COWL. IT NOW NEEDS EITHER DIPPED IN ACID OR MEDIA BLASTED. HAS NO HEAVY PITTING IN THOSE AREAS. RUST HOLES STILL IN CAR ARE IN LEFT TOE BOARD AND SMALL ARE IN FRONT FLOOR, THE LEFT QUARTER CAN BE PATCH WITH 3 LITTLE PCS. OF METAL. THE TRUNK ON LEFT FLOOR HAS A 3 BY 1 INCH HOLE. THE GUY HAD REMOVED THE TAIL PANEL AND WE JUST SCREWED IT IN SO PARTS CAN BE TRANSPORTED BETTER. THE RIGHT INNER FENDER HAS A HOLE WHERE BATTERY RUSTED IT AND YEARS AGO IT HAD METAL WELDED IN. THATS WHY HE BOUGHT THE INNER FENDER PANEL. THAT I BELIEVE IS IT FOR RUST.
THIS CAR WAS BUILT IN CALI AND WAS SOLD NEW IN CALI BUT THEY GUY WE BOUGHT IT FROM BOUGHT IT IN MISSOURI. THE FRAMES ARE NICE AND ORIGINAL AND THE TORQUE BOXES. THE ENGINE BA, COWL AND TOP ARE REAL GOOD. NEVER WRECKED, IT APPEARS. THE DOORS AND HOOD LOOK REALLY GOOD. THE TRUNKLID LOOKS LIKE LITTLE BONDO IN IT AND A COUPLE DENTS.

IF IT HAS TO GO BY HIRED TRANS PORT WE WILL HAVE IT READY BUT NOTHING WILL BE INPLACE OF DOOR GLASS TO SEAL OUT ELEMENTS. ENCLOSED TRANSPORT IS RECOMMENDED.
