Ford Thunderbird 1969 Description
1969 Ford Thunderbird Landau for sale. This car was a barn find years ago, it was bought from a family member that was the original owners family I was told. Thecar is very clean and has only a few issues. There were only a little over 15,000 of these carsproduced in 1969 and the 429 Thunder Jet was the biggest motor available for this year. The car has new front brakes with new calipers. It also has had a tune up and had the fuel tank removed and boiled out and sealed on the inside. I was originally going to bag this car, but it was too clean to cut on. So I decided I would sell it and build something else. The car must have came from somewhere they did not use much salt as the underside is very clean. Unfortunately when they pulled the car out of the barn they failed to oil the seat and the only issue with the seats is they cracked the drivers seat when they set in the car while pulling it out. The AC does work but needs new O rings to seal it up as it leaks. The heater core is shot and needs a new one. It also needs a new power window switch on the drivers door. The guy that had it before me started to take apart all the window motors. I lubed and put back together the front two and they work fine. I haven't put the back ones together yet. It does come with a box of spare OEM parts like window switches and sequential turn signal box, plus some other odds and ends. The car is other wise in great shape and runs and drives well. Other than the crack in the drivers side seat the interior is in good shape. The paint is decent but weathered, and the body is straight. The only thing I can see that has maybe had some work in the past is the drivers side front fender, it is straight but you can see a little orange peel on the paint work done there to match. The hide away headlights work great as well, I have not messed with the radio as it is not working. I hope the pictures do it justice, and if you have any question message me andI will try and answer them.
