Ford Mustang 1965 Description

1965 Ford Mustang. This Mustang is an excellent Arizona car with same owner for 41 years. Car was owned by a Ford mechanic at a local dealership. Car was his personal project since 1974 when he purchased it. He was an excellent mechanic and everything done on this car shows it. I purchased it from his estate, e was 80+ when he passed away and this was his show car that he would take to car shows in the local area.The body is super straight and has no rust repair ever. Paint is a 9 out of 10, t is 15 years old but still show quality. There are a couple of minor chips that have been touched up but looks like it was painted 1 year ago. Paint is a great red and believe it is a Porsche red. Body fit is excellent, oors click shut great and all body gaps are excellent. From what I can tell I believe all body parts are original. This car has had the same owner since it was 9 years old.
Interior is black and in excellent condition. I assume it is an aftermarket that was put in years ago, t still looks like new. Car does have the original under dash air conditioning unit. The A/C works great, ust had it checked and recharged. Other options are factory Rally PAC gauges and Pioneer stereo that is installed in the factory radio hole. Stereo has equalizer and the speakers in the back panel.
Drivetrain is the fun part of this car. Engine is 1997 Thunderbird fuel injected 302. There was a sign in the car that the owner sat out when he showed the car at car shows. It said some of the options on the engine where Trick-Flow twisted heads, 5 MM throttle body, 5 MM mass air and 1.72 roller rockers. Engine also has a Powerdyne super charger neatly installed under the hood. The engine runs great and very smooth. Show car sign says engine is 500 hp+. Driving it you would not know that until you get on the throttle and it sets you back in the seat. The transmission is a T-5 W/Overdrive. The 5 speed makes this a fun car to drive around town and also out on the highway. Rear differential is a 9 inch Ford with 350 gears. Rear end has a sway bar and car handles great. The sign that was used at cars shows says Shelby GT suspension. Front brakes are discs and rear drums.
Car shows 7,000 miles since the latest modifications which were the new engine, speed, tc. When I purchased this car from the owner's wife I got as much information as she knew. As I said earlier in my description they owned this car for 41 years and they took it to cars shows until his health got bad. This is a long description and hope it tells what the car is. It is an early Mustang with the looks of a stock 65 fastback. But the drivetrain and suspension are like a late model Mustang, 02 engine, upercharged, speed. It is fun to drive and the performance is impressive. Great car to take to cars show and drive anywhere. Clear Arizona title.
