Ford Other 1932 Description
1932 Ford Roadster Project Original Chassis Brookville Body w/Title
Great start on a traditional 32 roadster. New Brookville body on an original pinched and bobbed 1932 frame with a nice mix of early Ford and reproduction parts.
Frame is an original 32 from an old hot rod. At different times the rails had been partially boxed, pinched and the rear frame horns cut. The rails were brought back to stock dimensions in the frame jig at Barillaro Speed Emporium and then pinched and boxed in front of the firewall. The front frame horns were bobbed and the front cross member is an original Model A that has been narrowed and raised. A nice original k-member was placed in the stock position. The k-member front legs were modified to fit the boxing plates. The rear cross member is an original Model A.
The front suspension is an original 1933-36 axle dropped 5” and drilled by Okie Joe. It has fitted round back spindles with the steering arms bent to clear the un-split 32 wishbone.
The rear end came out of a 1940 Ford and includes torque tube, drive shaft and radius rods. The spring is an original Model A with the eyes reversed on the main leaf. Wheels are original Ford 16x4-1/2” w/ new 7.50 Firestones on the rear and 16x4” w/ new Firestone 4.50’s on the front.
This roadster will have a killer stance.
Body is new from Brookville and comes with cowl vent and stock style door hinges. The firewall is a stock style from United Pacific. The hood tops are Rootlieb and the hood sides are nice original 32 Ford. Grill shell and insert are new from Vintique.
Comes with current and correct Tennessee title for 1932 Ford Roadster in my name matching #’s on the frame.
