The louvered top of the hood has been removed and can be sent to the builder Doug’s Street Rods in Frenchtown New Jersey, for free refinishing to remove “orange peel.” For show appearance, remove the four mag rims, have them bead-blasted and coated as they will immediately start to oxidize, as well as install inner tubes in all four tires as three of the tires deflate because of the rims, an issue with all mag wheels because them come from drag racing machines. Also, to make this a prize-winning show car, the pot metal 600 cfm Edelbrock secondary should be replaced by a chrome version of that carburetor, about a $360 investment. The owner is selling this car for tens of thousands of dollars less than were invested because one wire that has turned off the mag as a safety feature, needs to be sorted out with builders directions, and the above suggestions for up grading the car will require as much as a thousand more in investment to make it show quality: Annual Bakersfield Reunion and Bonneville Speed Week, here you come!
