Ford Mustang 1965 Description

1965 Ford Mustang Convertible just recovered from long term storage. The previous owner had the car for 40 years. It was last driven in 2003. It has a 289 V8 and a manual 3 speed transmission. It also has its original Pony Interior, power steering and chrome rallye wheels.
The Interior is in very good condition for being original. It does show some wear and age but is very serviceable. The body is in very good, rust free condition. Unfortunately the floors are rusty and will require replacement. The top is remarkably good with no tears, splits and veryminorevidence of shrinkage. The dash pad is original and displays no cracks or splits. It has the pedal dress up trim and the wood grain steering wheel.
The engine turns over easily and I have started it but the fuel pump isn't working and will need to be replaced. I would also expect that the carburetor should be rebuilt and the fuel system cleaned. The brakes will also need to be serviced before the car is driven.
The mileage shows as 69,290 and it may well be correct. I havefound original oil change stickers that support the miles. There are also gas, oil and maintenancereceipts dating as far back as 1977.
This car is presented in "as found" condition and is still dusty and dirty from storage. It is currently not drivable so plan of picking it up with a trailer or I can assist you with making transportation arrangements. They buyer is responsible for all transportation costs.
This is a great, old, original Mustang that will be a lot of fun again with some service and attention.
Please ask your questions prior to bidding. The car is being sold "as is, where is" without warranty of any kind. I have a clear Michigan title in hand. The buyer will be responsiblefor their local taxes, registration and license plate fees. I am a licensed dealer and will process the title work for Michigan residents.
