Ford Galaxie 1969 Description
This is your chance to own a beautiful and rare 69 Ford XL 429 convertible with power steering, power disc brakes, power top, bucket seats, console, hideaway headlights and factory AC.It was restored several years ago by a collector in a neighboring town. He passed away and I bought the car to add to my own collection. I've decided to sell the car as I am out of space in my garage and could use the cash to pay some bills. It is a beautiful car and a great cruiser. I have a large stack of papers and receipts from the restoration to accompany the car. The paint is slick, body is very solid, and it runs and drives excellent. It has factory AC which appears to be complete but doesn't work. I haven't tried charging the system. The white top is excellent and from the receipts it looks like the power top hydraulics are all new. The body shop that did the paint work made detailed notes of how very solid the body is and the minor rust repair that was performed. The receipts tell us it was painted in 2004 with PPG products. It looks amazing and fresh as it has been driven very little and properly stored. The K in the VIN number tells it is a factory 429 car. I don't know if it is the original engine, but looks correct. It has the C9VE-A heads. The engine does run excellent and has a small cam which gives it an nice idle but not too loud or radical. It has new dual exhaust with stainless Magnaflow mufflers. Also the engine has a Edelbrock intake and Holley 4bbl carb but still looks fairly stock. The hideaway headlights are very cool and work properly. This car is a lot of fun to cruise around and the beautiful, slick metallic dark red paint really pops. The interior is nice but not perfect. The seats have been redone, but the door panels appear to be original. For their age they are not bad but have a few imperfections.Of course this car is available for inspection by appointment at my location in Lenoir NCIf you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Thanks and happy bidding.
