Ford Bronco 1976 Description

Exterior: Great survivor patina rig - virtually rust free original. No cancer or rot - there was only one small blister under hood near cowl vent, and my SoCal buddy had that professionally repaired. Only minor surface rust on underside of truck - see additional pics. Exterior paint appears original, save for driver front fender, which has been replaced, and tailgate area. Great patina showing. Fender bender also damaged inner fender apron and it was straightened. All the usual nicks and scratches from years of use. Stripes are aged and cracked, hood is faded, and paint is thin on hood and fender tops, adding to the patina. Repainted fender doesn't match perfectly. Glass is good and moldings show no pitting. All around great driver that gets compliments everywhere I stop, survivor rigs seem to be more appreciated than restored trucks.
Interior: Good driver condition, presents well. All stock save for tach and radio. When my buddy bought the truck, it had been sitting a while and had a few mice living inside, so he pulled the interior, had the tub repainted, installed new carpet, weatherstrips, and a new wiring harness. There was NO RUST in the tub or floors. The front seats have been redone and new rear side panels and headliner installed. He spent a lot of time and money sorting it and as far as I can tell most everything works - lights, wipers, heater, radio, windows, emergency brake, etc. Dash has a cap. Original door panels are starting to warp up on the corners. Original jack, handle, and lug wrench are included. You do have to "help" the rear hatch open on one side, latch needs adjustment.
Mechanical: Also in good driver condition, 302 runs well and truck starts, drives, stops and just does everything it's supposed to. Fun little driver. My SoCal buddy is fussy and wants stuff reliable, so he spent $3k bringing the truck up to snuff for driving duties after it had been sitting a while. I believe the engine is original, it does use some oil and has leaks. I've had it checked over, and my mechanic says it should run a long time as is. Original lady owner told me the timing chain and gear have been replaced. Transmission has been rebuilt - it shifts well, but downshift is much harder than stock for some reason - might be modulator. Doesn't affect performance, just noticeable. Mileage on the truck is about 149k, original speedo(included) quit at 147k and was replaced about 2k ago. Currently showing 121k on replacement speedo. All gauges work. Doesn't heat, runs smooth and it's quite snappy. New $500 exhaust with healthy burble. Koni gas shocks all around.
