TRUE BARN FIND PUT BACK ON THE ROAD, ONE YEAR BODY! This truck was pulled from the barn this winter and worked on to get it running and driving a gain. Take a look at the pictures and details below. Watch the video inspection then call Erick at 678-908-6006.
Cosmetic
  • Paint/Body: The body of the truck shows normal wear for its age being all original and unrestored. Solid steel with minor spots of rust here and there (this is not a rusty bucket). Surprising original cab corners and hinge pockets completely rust free. Paint was scuffed down and clear coated to give this patina look.
  • Interior: Brand new OEM rubber floor mat. Original and unmolested dash. Gauges work, speedometer cable disconnected for buzzing noise (likely repaired with a little grease). Original seat cover with no rips or tears. Has a touch of overspray and would look nice if it was stained.
  • Glass/Windows: All original glass in good condition with no cracks. Windows roll up and down easily.
  • Trunk: Steel plate welded in years ago over original bed wood.
  • Undercarriage: Surface rust only on solid original and uncut frame rails. A few minor spots of rust in the front floor pans. Rear pans and inner cab corners are rust free.
  • Wheels/Tires: Brand new tires on original wheels
Mechanical
  • Drivetrain: Original 223 engine was pulled apart and freshened up with new fuel pump, spark plugs and wires, carburetor rebuild, cleaned gas tank. Fresh oil and antifreeze. The truck starts easily and runs strong, no smoke. Beautiful engine detail. Clutch feels good and transmission shifts in and out of every gear easily.
  • Lights/Electrical: Head lights and tail lights work properly. Brake lights tested and need a new brake switch to function.
  • Brakes: Brakes stop good but the soft lines are old. We recommend replacing the soft line for safety of daily driving. Emergency brake works
I love this 56 year body and this truck has that special look that draws lots of attention. A few little things to finish and this truck could be a daily driver easily. Or make a good candidate for a full restoration one day. Watch the video then call Erick at 678-908-6006.
