Ford convertible 1940 Description
For Auction is a 1940 Ford Convertible project. If you are looking for a straight no rust car to build this is it.This car has been disassembled, all body panels except hoodhas been sandblasted (properly). Repairs have been made with steel panels either original parts or reproduction pieces. All repairs are "Butt" welded. No overlapping, brazing, gluing or bondo plugging here!Great care has been taken to alignand fit doors, hood and deck lid. Gaps are perfect and all latches and regulators work as intended. There is NO BODY FILLER in this car. Although a skim will be required over seams, I wanted to leave it so one can see the metal work. Car is treated with a coat of primer. Frame is excellent with no rust out ever.Mechanical condition of front and rear ends are unknown. If you have any questions call Bob@ 613-623-6705. I am about 3.5 hours north of Syracuse NY, you are welcome to and inspect. Many people ask what about shipping to USA? Any trouble getting across the border? Do you know any trucking companies?A commercial carrier has to go through a broker crossing the border. There are no tariffs, taxes, or duties but the broker charges a fee...depending on the value, usually around $200. If you come get the car yourself you don't require a broker...its considered a casual entry and the US customs officer fill out the paper work free of charge. This paper work shows you have legally imported the vehicle into the US. It may be required when you lisence the vehicle in your state. I know a trucker.I have a clear title in my name for this vehicle. Sorry No Trades Good luck bidding
