Ford Other 1934 Description
I am selling this car for a friend. He bought it soon after a complete professional frame-off restoration about 12-15 years ago. It started as a very solid car and still looks like new inside and out. The engine was rebuilt about 1000 miles back and the car drives and runs as well as it looks. It still has the original tools (jack minus handle, tire tool, crank and crank extension) in the pocket on the right side of the rumble seat as it was when new. The glasses roll up and down well. The grille is an original that is very good and it comes complete with the original type dog. The wheels are Kelsey-Hayes. I inspected the car and could find only three flaws. It has a very small chip out of the paint on the passenger's side fender about the size of a pencil lead. It has a chip out of the paint in the tail pan just above one of the bolts...very small. The windshield which was put in new when restored is delaminating mainly on the passenger's side. I have shown this in one of the pictures. A recent article in Antique Automobile estimated that there are 25 to 30 of these rare automobiles left. Please ask any questions and I will get the answer from the owner if I am unsure of it. If you need additional pictures of a specific area I can get them and send to you. Thank you.On May-21-17 at 18:15:58 PDT, seller added the following information:The "three flaws" refers only to the paint finish and glass. I may have overlooked other flaws in the paint such as scratches but for 12-15 years it looks good.
On May-22-17 at 06:35:09 PDT, seller added the following information:The top bows appear to have not been replated but are good.
On May-25-17 at 05:29:45 PDT, seller added the following information:The owner informed me this morning that the car has a tendency to slip out of second gear but only when decelerating.
On May-25-17 at 17:39:58 PDT, seller added the following information:The car is also listed for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the auction early if an offer comes in that is acceptable to the owner.
