Ford Mustang 1970 Description
This Boss is 95 percent original and unmolested. It runs and drives good. It's an excellent restore candidate or just put some shocks and paint on it for a great driver.INTERIOR: The seats and dash are in excellent condition. No rips or cracks. The carpet has some fading / discoloring. The headliner has two small holes next to the visors.
EXTERIOR: This Boss is solid no rust except for a small bubble on the bottom of the drivers door, about the size of a quarter. There is a dent on the rear right corner piece ( see pics / video). A new replacement piece is included. There is a small dent behind the boss stripe on the drives front fender. The paint has some fading / patina. That said it will need minor body work and paint.
ENGINE: The motor runs strong. It has a newer style holly carb just rebuilt. The original carb is included. The distributor is MSD. I do not have the original distributor. I also have some air cleaner parts included in the sale. I was told by the previous owner the block was replace by Ford in 1971 due to a freeze issue. It has the screw-in freeze plugs. I do not know if it is "numbers matching". Its is impossible to tell without removing the engine or bell housing. Ford may have stamped the block with the numbers matching during the replacement in 71'. When I get time I will remove the starter to see the date code on the block. The date code for the intake manifold is C9FE 9424E. Please email any questions and for those who would like to see it you can call me at 3ten.488.0seven2seven.
