Ford Mustang 1966 Description

1966 Ford Mustang Sprint convertible. Built from a nearly rust free original car. The only rust in the undercarriage was in the rear seat pans and front torque boxes which have both been replaced. The doors and fenders had the minor rust found on Mustangs of this year. New lower 1/4 panel on the right side. The left 1/4 panel had been replaced with a NOS quarter by a previous owner. Engine runs good transmission shifts nice. Has new clutch. The engine has a 1968 casting number and the 3 speed is the later 3.03 three-speed transmission. I did not rebuild either and they are not original to this car so I am unsure of mileage on either one but both perform as they should. Candy Apple Red paint is fresh and is the original color of this car. All exterior trim is new or excellent condition original. New tires and brakes. Fairly recent exhaust. Front end seems good only needed one ball joint. The car has very nicely detailed underhood area. Freshly stripped and repainted with urethane paints. Not a quick spray bomb job. Engine is repainted with Bill Hirsch engine paints. Door jambs and trunk look great a lot of detail work. You wont find painted door strikers or an undercoated trunk on this car like a lot of cars you see for sale. The rear seat upholstery and dash pad appear to be original. I just put new seat covers up front and new door panels carpet and repainted all of the metal in the interior. The top is manual and the vinyl is in great shape. The NADA average retail of this car is $25400 the reserve isconsiderably less. I don't want to see this one go but I have too many others and not enough real estate to house them all.
