Ford Thunderbird 1961 Description
Offered, is a 1961 Ford Thunderbird coupe with the 390 CI, 300 HP, 4 BBL,V8 engine. This car was professionally restored in 2007, and I bought it in 2008. It has a factory straight body with beautiful red paint. The paint hasa high quality luster that looks like new. The chrome, trim, glass, interior, engine, and trunk all look like it was 1961 again. The undercarriage is clean and solid with applied undercoating. Itis mechanically sound, the 390 runs very smooth, and the automatic transmission shifts and operates as it should.
Options include: power steering, power brakes, power driver's seat, dual exhaust, fender skirts, Kelsey-Hayes chrome wire wheels, and wide white wall tires. It has a working factory installed AM radio. The interior vinyl seats, dash, carpet, and floor mats, are in excellent condition. A spare tire, jack, and tire cover are included, and are secured in the trunk. The vinyl on top of the hatshelf behind the back seat, has a few blisters. The gauges all work, except for the clock.
Also included: Original 1961 Thunderbird Operator's manual, 1961 Thunderbird Wiring Diagram manual, 1961 Thunderbird Shop manual, and a 1961 Ford Thunderbird dealer's advertising brochure.
This is a very cool looking car! Withit'srocketlooking tail fins, and tail lightsstyled like jet engines, this car is sharp, and turns heads! If you like attention, all you have to do is drive this around! Take a look at the pictures of this car. I love this car but, it is time forus to downsize.Unfortunately, this is one of the things that must go. Our loss, will be the new owner's gain.
Buyers are encouraged to ask questions about the car prior to bidding. Additional picturescan be madeavailable if needed. The car will be available for inspection to serious bidders prior to the end of the auction.
