1961 FORD RANCHERO
UP FOR BID IS A 1961 FORD RANCHERO. THIS VEHICLE WAS RESTOREDIN 1995. IT WAS REPAINTED AND THE ORIGINAL MOTOR WAS REBUILT AT THAT TIME.IT IS ALL COMPLETE BUT THE PAINT IS NOW OLD AND THIS RANCHERO HAS SAT FOR MORE THAN A YEAR. SINCE I HAVE TOOK OWNERSHIP OF IT I HAVE NOT DONE VERY MUCH WITH IT. IT HAS THE FACTORY MOTOR, TRANSMISSION AND REAR END. IT IS A FACTORY MANUAL (ON THE COLUMN) AND IT HAS THE 6 CYLINDER ENGINE.
OVERALL THIS VEHICLE IS FAIRLY SOLID FOR THE YEAR. IT WOULD BE A EASY RESTORATION OR WITH SOME TLCITWILL BE A GREAT DAILY DRIVER. AS OF RIGHT NOW IT IS NOT RUNNING. IT WILL RUN WITH GAS POURED IN THE CARB BUT THE FUEL TANK WILL NEED TO BE CLEANED AND IT MIGHT NEED A FUEL PUMP. I HAVE NOT MESSED WITH IT VERY MUCH BUT I HAVE HEARD IT RUN SINCE IVE OWNED IT. I DO KNOW THAT THE MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.
IT WILL NEED THE TYPICALS FOR A VEHCILE THAT HAS SAT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. THE LINKAGES FEEL GOOD ON THE COULUM. ALSO THE BRAKES WILL NEED TO BE SERVICED BUTARE UP AND THE CLUTCH IS UP ALSO. THE TIRES WILL HOLD AIR FOR ABOUT 48 HRS THEN THEY GO FLAT SO IT WILL NEED NEW TIRES. ALSO ALL THE GLASS LOOKS GOOD AND AGAIN THIS RANCHERO IS ALL COMPLETE.
THE SKY IS THE LIMIT WITH A FORD RANCHERO! WHETHER YOU GO BACK TO FACTORY ORIGINAL OR ALLIN WITH ARESTOMOD OR DRAG CAR YOU CANT GO WRONG. OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT PROJECT VEHICLE AND WILL MAKE SOMEONE A NICE CLASSIC!
