You are bidding on a unbelievable all original, ever restored,bone stock V8 1967 mustang power top convertible with power steering. Have you ever wanted to own or find a barn find mustang that wasforgotten in time? Now you can without all the problems!!!
The story:This unbelievable Mustang has been in Grand Junction Colorado it's whole life and was owned by The original owner from 1967 to 2008 where it was purchased as a barn find and brought back to weekenddriver reliability and now it could be yours.
The body:Original paint with minor rust bubbling in the lower quarter panels on the right and left side also a rust hole on the driver lower front fender and that is where the Bad news stops, he rest of the body has NO rust and one dent in the back valance.....just the amazing patina green paint and all the trim which is in great condition for a car of it's age. You will only find minor surface rust on the underside of the mustang with a few pin hols on the floor board, ll of the important Structures are in good shape like the torque boxes on both sides, he convertible brace running along the back of the floorboard and front and back Frame rails. The top is old and coming apart on some of the top stitching but no rips and the power top is in working order.
The interior:What can I say it's 100% original interior and in pretty good shape for Its age, will add that the Ford dealership did some sort of cloth inserts on the driver and passenger seat when the car was purchased new to cut down on the heat the vinyl seat will hold and a aftermarket single speaker below the dash.The mustang comes with a original old stock pair of arm pads in new condition.
The Engine and engine compartment:134k original miles on a 289ci v8 with the optional chrome dress up Air cleanerand a C4 automatic.The motor runs good and the car shifts smooth (The C4 had a rebuild not too long ago). Engine Compartment is 100% original and only has minor rust at the top of the fender aprons, o rust on the lower shock towers or Frame rail. The engine has never been removed from the mustang and has all the original stickers wiring clips etc.
The Glass:All the glass is the original factory glass, nbsp;it's all in great shape. ( the rear window is a 2 piece glass and comes with the car but is currently removed)
The Suspension,brakes,wheels and tires:The suspension is all stock and original, he breaks are original drum and in great working order. The wheels are the original green 14 inch steel wheels with hub caps. ( some time over the years 3 hub caps were lost andreplaced with 1968 mustang hub caps.) the tires are in great shape and only a few years old.
The Trunk:Also 100% original and untouched with no rust on the trunk floor, runk mat and most original tools are in the back and The original Tonnele cover in the bag. You can see some of the lower quarter panel rust from inside of the trunk.
The PaperWorks/documentThis car has most of the documents from the date of purchase to current day including service records.
