Ford Model A 1930 Description

1930 Ford Truck

This is an all steel truck built on a 1988 Ford Bronco II Chassis, it is not 4wd. The engine is a rebuilt 1983 Chevrolet 350 bored (.020 over)with vortec 906 heads (2.02 intake 1.60 exhaust) with z28 valve springs, high energy cam, very slight lift (.454) on exhaust and intake, does nothavea stall and it doesn't need one, all aluminum intake, with 600cfm Rochester 4 barrel carburetor, engine has around 2500miles, broken in with zinc additive. Engine has around 55psi oil pressure when first started and settles around 25psi when hot, idling, in gear, and at a stop. Behind that it a has a 700R4 transmission, Shifts perfect. I swapped the stock axle the broncoIIhad to a Ford 8.8 (3.73 gears) 31 spline axle with disc brakes. engine also has fan clutch anda champion all aluminum radiator, 190 degree thermostat.

This truck is all street legal as well, and has passed the Texas State inspection For the 1983 year, It only had to pass for the date of the engine as far as emissions. As far as safety equipment it has running lights, low beams, high beams, turn signal, hazards, brake lights, windshield wiper (driver side only), lap seat belts, horn, It does not have reverse light or E-brake. It has full exhaust minus catalytic converter, mufflers are whateverI could find, they are actually kind of quiet, but itis super loud with the exhaust taken down. The tires are brand new All four with about 2500miles on them, it has 235/65/16 in the front and they are mounted on two ford explorer spare rims, the backs are 31' 10.5 good years' mounted on canyon style wheels from a 2001 jeep wrangler. Inside the cab the seats have changed, adding a bottom cushion from seats taken from a 2000ish Honda accord, they are no longer metal for the bottom cushion, I didn't have and updated picture, however the backs are still metal. The steering column is out of the same year suburban that I pulled the motor from, 1983 Chevroletcolumn, All of the wiring on the truck is fused, the battery is located justunder the front cowl. The cab has a 25K btu heater that I bought for a forklift awhile back, plenty of heat for this cab, The windshield is real laminated glass, the back is Plexiglas and the side windows are Lexan, the side windows have guides to roll them up but they must pulled up by hand and bolted to the inside of thedoor frame, (Lexan does not crack).the cab will seal up actually fairly tight, and stay extremely hot during the winter.

Shifter has blue #2 billiard ball drilled and tapped to take a 3/8 bolt, however it is not a standard. The fuel tank filler is what you see at the rear of the bed, Tank capacity is 22gallons. The dashboard has 4 gauges the, water temp, oil pressure, volt meter, and speedometer. There are places for the tachometer and gas gauge, I just never got around to installing them. The body is bolted directly to the frame and has a recess for you feet of 3inches, I am 6 foot and it is comfortable to drive and ride in. Door handles are lift up and down to latch.
