1968 Ford Mustang Conv. 302 J-Code

RB Collection is very pleased to offer this very attractive, icely restored 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible. This J-Code convertible presents in very fine condition, oming to us out of long-term ownership by a Ford enthusiast and former FoMoCo parts and service manager who personally restored the car and enjoyed it on a regular basis.

The previous owner purchased this car as a good sound driver in the early 1990s and enjoyed it for several years before embarking on a restoration using many genuine Ford parts and components. The car was stripped and repainted in original Raven Black (Code A) and a bright red C-Stripe was added to accent the updated red and black interior. While the body was being restored, he engine was fully rebuilt, ored .030 over stock, nd fitted with fully rebuilt cylinder heads. Several updates were made during the restoration to improve the looks and the driving experience. The chassis was freshened with new KYB shocks, n uprated sway bar and a chrome Export Brace was added. The original York-type A/C compressor was replaced with a much more efficient Sanden type for reliable operation in hot weather. Since the restoration and engine rebuild, he car has been used only in good weather, ever in salt or snow. The owner put approximately 9,000 miles on the car since restoration and it still feels tight and strong today.

The raven black paint is accented with a red C-Stripe, nd the theme carries over into the interior which is trimmed in correct pattern two-tone red and black upholstery. A set of custom Diamondback radial red-line tires round out the look and return excellent handling. The result is a very sharp and attractive Mustang Convertible that is on the button and ready to be driven anywhere, r shown at casual events with pride.
