Ford Model A 1930 Description

This is a largely untouched and unmolested 1930 Ford Model A Standard Sedan. This car sat for about 50 years in dry storage and was resurrected by a 75 year old friend who specialized in A’s. His health allowed me to buy it - I made it road-worthy again and safe for driving. The car is as close to stock as Henry built it- the original interior, xterior and mechanical configuration is stock. The car starts right up, span>runs, hifts and stops perfectly, he motor is without vibration and purrs nicely. Odometer reads just over 80K miles and those are probably original.

The interior front seats have some damage but someone covered them for protection and the passenger’s is still protected. The headliner, oor panels and back seat are 1930. The motor had about 40lbs of dirt and road on it so it was hand-cleaned, arts that needed replacement for safety were taken care of and then painted cleanly. The front and back axles were cleaned of dirt and painted black, pring shackles on the front were swapped for safety- but that’s it, othing else was changed or altered. The tires and tubes are new and have very little road on them.

All brakes work well, ll lights work, ash light works, omes with two radiators (original and replacement one) replaced some wiring, leaned the generator, fter-market oil gauge works well, ew hoses, opper spark plug connectors and cleaned carburetor. Comes with new gas float- existing one doesn’t work. The transmission is smooth and shifts perfectly. ALL fluids were drained and replaced. (rear axle, rank case, rans, adiator and steering box) Horn needs to be hooked up but it works and is an aoogah style!

This is a rare and unaltered standard Model A that will give good solid service. No drips nor gas on the ground. The nice replacement radiator may need a vinegar cleaning as it gets steamy after rides but the dirty original one always stayed cool.- both are included. Good spare and comes with an after-market heater as well for the chilly days.

Winner to pay $200 down payment within 24 hours through PayPal and balance upon pick-up. Cash or bank-to-bank wire is preferred. I have a clear Illinois title in my name, he only reason am selling is I have too many cars and no space, therwise this is a great A to keep. This is not a chromed-up and fake Deluxe model that so many A’s resemble- this is a solid workhorse that most people wanted and depended on in the 1930s.

**Sorry I am keeping the matched Illinois license plates. Thanks!

These photos of the car were taken yesterday (3/9/16) but since my camera batteries died and I replaced them- I forgot to correct the date and it defaulted to date in the pics. I am sorry for the confusion.
