Ford Mustang 1966 Description

A Family Owned 1966 Mustang 289 V8

For sale for the first time is our Family owned 1966 Mustang. The car is dark blue, light blue interior, 289 V8 2 barrel, automatic transmission, AM radio, white wall tires and spinner hubcaps. All interior is original except carpet and door rests.

Purchased new in 1966 from our local Ford dealer, this car has been in the family for 51 years. This is the first time we are selling it to a new owner. Mother used the car for local transportation. Then my sister took it to college.Upon graduation it came back to mother. She used it for another 12 years taking the grandchildren to school and shopping. In about 1978 she got a new car.

The mustang was stored in the garage for about 10 years before I took it and did a complete professional restoration. In 2004 the restoration started and finished in 2005.

New paint, matching the original paint code, and complete engine rebuilt took place too.The odometer will read 76+ thousand miles but it has just over 900 miles on the rebuilt engine.

The Mustang has won Most Original at a car show and looks great.Shortly after the restoration my niece bought the car and took it to Michigan. The car is now garaged back in Hartford City, IN. It’s not only in a garage but also inside a bubble.

It has a clear Michigan Title. Our 1966 Mustang now needs a new home where it will be enjoyed for another 50 years. Good luck in becoming the next owner.
