I bought this 1930 Model A Deluxe Roadster while vacationing in North Carolina in 2012 after hearing about it being offered for sale by the previous owner's family after he passed away. Just before i bought it in 2012,he had redone the interior with a new seat, door panels, new top, and new boot installed. When I got the car back to Iowa, I had the engine completely gone through along with the normal maintenanceneeded.
I have personally used this car as a daily driver putting on a average of 1500 miles per a year touring with my Hawk A model A car club and local car shows and pleasure drives. This car still has paint from the 80's that does show some wear as pictured and videoed, but is a really great 5-10 footer. I elected to leave the paint the way it is as it still shows very well. To make it a number 1 show car, you would want to update the paint. Study the video as it does a great job showing you what the car is. It has the rare dual side mounts with stainless steel covers. It has a new luggage rack and trunk! A marble era correct shift knob. etched Wing windows. fog lights etc. radiator stone guard, and a new convertible boot.
The car handles the way a 30 model A drives and it stops the way it should stop. I keep the car inside my showroom when when not using and it always fires up every time I wanted to drive it. It had a small gas tank repair at one time on the right top cowl where liquid metal was used to seal the leak. It does not leak now or anytime I used it but shows the repair. I did not noticed any noticeable fluids on the floor when it was in my showroom. I am selling this car out of my personal collection of classics to help finance a expansion to my classic car showroom. IT WILL BE MISSED. This is the kind of car you can hop in, start it right up, drive it with the kids in the rumble seat and enjoy the heck out of it the way it is or take it to the next level. the license plates plate toppers, and dash magnet do not go with the sale as they are part of my personal collection. This comes with a clean numbers matching title ready for you to register. If you have any questions please call us 563 568 1186.
As everyone has their own opinion on what a classic car should be, I recommend coming yourself by appointment to check out the car at my dealership Teddys auto sales in waukon or hire ebay to do a independent inspection for you. I require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end, if I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the car, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it.I can help recommend shippers i have used in the past who have been very reasonable!
