Ford Other 1932 Description
Known as "Red Hot" this 1932 Ford Hi-Boy Roadster Street Rod is a sparkling example of the work performed by CCR Technologies Inc. in Delson Quebec Canada. Completed in 2011 it is based on an American Stamping Corporation frame and quality Rod Action fiberglass roadster body but it's the details that make this a showpiece that has caught the attention of show crowds throughout central Canada and beyond with an old vibe that is reminiscent of early 60s Hot Rod Magazine covers and Revell model kits. Its blaring lipstick Red paint in the perfect starting point that sets the tone for its exposed and chrome=laden 350/425 HP Chevy small block whose period Edelbrock six-carb setup is fed by a Lakester-style front-mounted Moon Equipment fuel tank. There is more Lakester influence in the chromed Sanderson Limefire headers complete with under-chassis connectors leading to the car's mandrel-bent stainless steel exhaust. Completing the driveline are a Muncie 4 speed and Ford 9 inch rear with 3.7 Positraction accompanied in the detailed undercarriage by chromed driveshaft and stainless brake and fuel lines. Crucial to the car's look are the wide Whitewall tires - narrow bias plies up front and "pie crust" slicks out back. Beneath the Rod Tops convertible top and So Cal Winshield frame is a Black and White interior inspired by the famed McMullen Roadster featuring superb detailing and custom dash insert. This is an evocative piece of rolling art with a feast of pleasing details
