Ford Super Deluxe 1946 Description

Up for auction is my 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon with only 74,362 original miles. Vehicle is 100% original with one repaint.

Vehicle was purchased on March 22,1946 from Foss-Hughes Company of Philadelphia, Pa by Mr. Victor Emerson of Villa Nova, Pa for the sum of $1,486.62.

Vehicle equipped with a V8(100 HP) flathead engine, porcelanized knobs, radio (converted to am/fm stereo), hot air heater, spare tire and tube.

The original owner sold the wagon in 1957 to his brother-in-law who lived in Pompton Plains, NJ. I purchased from Mr. Doyle in 1992 which makes me the third owner. When I purchased it I had three pieces if wood replace due to the fact Mrs. Doyle back into a tree limb. All the other wood is in exceptional condition. The vinyl top was replaced with the original fabricas well as the interior.Vehicle still has the original rain gutters that are in excellent condition. It was also repainted the original color (Dynamic Maroon) in 1994. Every few years vehicle is sanded down a refinished with spar varnish which gives it an original look. I never used polyurethane because I don't believe it has the original look.

I purchased the vehicle with 67,120 original miles. Over the yearshas beenmeticulously maintained. It has been driven regularly but sparingly and it can be driven any distance with complete confidence. It runs and drives flawlessly.

Vehicle is 100% solid and rust free. It has never been driven in snow and or salt covered roads. It has always been garage kept.

Vehicle is in amazing overall condition and it is part of the family so I am in no way desperate to sell it. I just don't have the time to drive it as I would like to.

I still have the original owners manual and sales receipt which obviously goes with the sale of the vehicle.
