Ford Maverick Stallion 1976 Description

BELIEVED TO BE ORIGINAL MILES!!!I have the Marti Report. This is one of only 177 cars produced with this paint/trim code!! If you want a rarely seen, head turning, beautiful classic car, that you can just get in and go with no worries, then this is the car for you!! This is a practically totally rebuilt car that is ready to go show off. I have taken it to a few shows and have done really well with it. I paid $10,000.00 for this car after it was stripped and repainted, then I put an additional $16,000.00 into on the interior, suspension and guts (engine transmission, tc) I have most all of the receipts to back up the work done. The ones I don't have were some jobs done for cash, and I can give you the phone numbers or take you to talk with the people who did that work.
This awesome car was rescued from a barn in Tennessee in 201, where it had been stored for over 20 years. The gentleman who sold it was thinning out a variety of cars in the barn that had belonged to his father who had recently passed away. I have pics of the car the day it came out of the barn.
The paint (original paint) was stripped down to the bare metal and there were 3 small quarter sized areas of rust. those were cut out and replaced with good metal. The car was repainted with PPG base coat/clear coat. A flattening agent was put ion the clear coat of the black to give it the original satin look like it came from directly from Ford. The great thing about this paint job is that it does have the clear coat, and so will last much longer than the original factory paint. I have the pictures that were taken during the entire stripping and repainting process.
The engine and transmission were taken out and professionally rebuilt. Both were believed to be low mileage, as neither showed excessive wear. The engine has new pistons and rings bored thirty thousanth over. New rod and main bearing standard. Crank shaft only had to be polished. It has a new Elgin Prostock Cam (mild) and new Edelbrock manifold. It has a new oil pump and new Maverick Valve covers, and a new Holly 600 CFM Carb. The transmission has a new torque converter.
