This 1972 Ford Thunderbird that comes from south carolina and has only had the one and only original owner ever. It is powered by a 429 V-8 power plant (212 net HP), 4-Barrel Motorcraft Carburetor/Single Exhaust System, has an A/T, cassette player, A/C, power seats, cruise control, power windows, power mirror, power driver's seat, power antennae, AM-8 track stereo player, tilt wheel, cruise control, rear window defogger—just lots of options.
This is a great example of a true survivor car--all original and very clean. blue metallic exterior paint in original paint in mint showroom condition, nice and straight, never a dent, original bumpers front and rear mint condition, original factory alligator vinyl landau top like new, new, all molding around wheels is in great condition—no dings, white wall tires are in good condition, original Thunderbird factory matching high end hubcaps, good glass all around.

All original seat upholstery is in great condition. The headliner is in great condition as are the original carpets. Both door panels are like new as is the original upholstery. The dash is great—no cracks. All original trunk lining is in great condition, still has the original changing sticker under the lid. Very clean throughout and has the spare and all changing accessories in trunk.
The engine compartment is very clean throughout you can eat on this engine. It still has all the original engine stickers intact and all air cleaner stickers intact. These are all original. The under hood area is very clean s well. The original insulation is still in place and very nice. All the hood stoppers are original and very nice.
The underneath of the car is as nice as everything else. No exhaust problems and no noises.
The car starts right up and drives great. The 429 V8 power plant just purrs and runs great. The transmission shifts nice and smooth. The car just cruises. The brakes stop nice and even and have no problems. The power steering works at ease. All power accessories work including the air conditioning. All the gauges and lighting work throughout. The spare tire and all accessories are in the trunk as are all factory manuals and brochure.
Thunderbird was completely redesigned for 1972 and also designed to ride on the Mark IV platform, shared the same Landau hardtop with that year's Continental Mark IV and now rode on the new all-coil suspension with four-bar-link location for the live rear axle. It was larger and heavier than any T-Bird before or since with the 120.4 inch wheelbase. A fantastic ride—just get in and cruise down the freeway—just a nice original car at a very good price!
