For sale is one of only 404 1969 Galaxie XL GT's that came from the factory with a 429 and a 4 Speed. The car has been completely and professionally restored. This Southern California survivor is a numbers matching car.
Engine- 429 completely rebuilt- Less than 500 miles on the rebuild- Rebuilt to orginal specs- MSD Ignition- Holley Carb- (Comes with factory original carburetor and distributor)- Magnaflow Exhaust
Transmission- Original Wide Ratio Top Loader 4 speed- Freshly Rebuilt- Orginal Top Loader Shifter- (Personally don't like the factory shifter and it is the only thing I would replace if I kept the car)
Differential- Ford 9"- Factory 3.25 Traction-Lok
Paint/Body- Body disassembled and stripped to bare metal- Painted to original Candy Apple Red (Code T)- Painted Original Silver Stripe (Factory was a decal)- Car originally had a vinyl roof, e choose not to put the vinyl roof back- All paint and body work done by Luce Customs, lbuquerque NM- Most emblems are Ford N.O.S.- All glass in great condition- All chrome is great
Wheels- Magnum 500's with good rubber- Factory hubcaps come with the car
Interior- Dash pad replaced with original N.O.S. piece- Steering wheel professionally refurbished- Upholstery redone in it's original black clarion knit vinyl- N.O.S. seat belts- New headliner- New carpet and padding- Original console w/custom top plate around the shifter- Door panels are original in great condition
NEEDS:-Car has all AC components, owever the AC has not been tested, an't guarantee it works- Shifter plate for the console
This car has been completely rebuilt from nose to tail and tremendous attention was paid to each and every piece of the rebuild. The result is a real head-turner that runs and drives as good as it looks. The 429 with the 4 speed makes it a blast to drive around. The Candy Apple Red paint is an attention grabber. It's just a great car.
