Ford Other 1950 Description

You are bidding on an RARE, ostly-original, arn-find, 950 Ford Custom Deluxe Convertible from a private collection being sold this summer. This Sheraton Blue convertible has a Flat head V8 motor (believed to be the original), anual transmission and power convertible top. This beauty is in nice shape, uns and drives fine and looks to be mostly original although it has a newer convertible top and radial tires. She would make a great cruiser and has a nice curb presence. Enjoy summer trips to the ice cream stand, ides through the park, rips to car cruises or anywhere you take it!

This is a rare classic car with a low reserve to protect some of its value. If the reserve is not met we will work with the high bidder to complete the sale.

Please enjoy the video http://youtu.be/aOCOqcOaksA which shows off the car like you are standing next to it.

The Body is solid, ice, hiny, nd fairly straight with no major dents and has a good road appearance. The paint job is driver-quality. The body has had work performed on it throughout its lifetime. It’s fairly nice and shiny in its present state. It’s an older paint job and does have some flaws. It’s basically a stored survivor and could be used as a cruiser or restored to original factory condition. There are areas of the paint where it’s worn down and other imperfections throughout the paint as well as some chips and scratches. There are areas under the rockers that show a little bit of body work and some areas in the fenders and quarters. There were areas that had metal replaced and/or patch panel repair like the wheel tubs, pare tire well, nd rear trunk-to-bumper filler pan. The body and floor are still solid and the body gaps still look good. Has the bumper guards, -rib fender skirts and optional accessory wings on the trunk. The odometer shows 23,573 miles although we do not believe this to be correct.

The condition of the chrome items varies. The bumpers are straight and were rechromed in the past. Other pieces are nice. The trunk handle needs to be rechromed.

The trim is in good shape as is the stainless.

The convertible top is in very nice condition without any damage but it needs a deep cleaning to bring out the brightness. The glass window has a crack.

Window channels look good and so does the glass (no cracks or sanding marks). All the exterior trim is there with minimal pitting. Doors, runk and hood operate as they should. Weatherstripping and rubber are in fair condition and look like original pieces.

The Interior is in ok condition for the most part. Door panels are good, eat bottoms look like they were recovered and the backrests have some tears. The original floor mat is nice but needs cleaning. The steering wheel is in good condition, o cracks but has minor aging. Most things on the dash work but the radio does not. The speedo works intermittently. Horn does not work.

The Drivetrain is a flat head Ford V-8 which runs great, dles and drives, oesn’t overheat, r really leak. The manual transmission operates and shifts as it should and the clutch appears to be strong with no slipping. No problems in the rearend. It still has the original 6-volt electrical system. She steers without any major issues too! Has new brake shoes and the drums were turned a few years ago. She could be driven to her new home but we recommend it to be trailered.

Other info: The car is in pretty much original condition with the following items replaced… battery, onvertible top and tires as noted above.

There’s a little bit of the original paint color left for small chip repairs.

It has a spare tire, enter cap and the original jack.

Car comes with one set of factory keys which work the ignition and trunk only (none of the keys work the doors) and clear Ohio title

A couple of other items to note: The front left brake is hanging up a little. The front marker lights – the housings were not installed – just the trim and lenses.
