Ford Other 1953 Description

1953 Ford Sunliner Convertible project for sale. Mostly complete car. Engine. tranny and driveshaft still in the car. All the convertible pcs/bows are there. You can see the front bows are missing on the car. but I have them. One of the side brackets that fastens the bows to the rest of the convertible frame is busted. The top of the windshield frame where the front of the convertible top would come down and rest is real good and solid. Windshield will need replaced. It has a crack. All the glass is in the car. There is no interior. I have some original seat springs for the car if you want them. I do have the metal rear interior door panels. I am missing most of the exterior stainless and emblems. Pretty much what you see on the car is what you get. The car needs a complete restoration. You can see some old body work that was started on the doors and rear quarters. Car needs a full floor pan. Trunk is pretty solid. but needs spare tire area replaced. It has holes in the bottom. Rockers not bad at all. Both doors have rust in the lower sections. Driver door is the worst. It has lower 1/2" seam rusting thru all the way across the door. Couple small spots on lower front fenders will need patched. Lower rear quarters need replaced. Again. driver side is worse than the passenger side. You can see daylight on driver side when looking in the trunk. I do have the original exterior vertical pc of stainless for the rear passenger side of the car to match the driver side. The car is not running and driving. You will need to trailer. It's a roller. All four of the 15" steel wheels appear to be the originals. The flathead V8 is free. but I'm unsure of the overall condition. Under the hood appears to pretty much be complete other than the top radiator support and radiator itself. Hood solid. but has a couple small dents. Trunk lid is very solid. Structurally. the car is very solid. The frame under the car has no rot. I've tried to represent the car to the best of my ability. I prefer all interested buyers come look. Please email for additional questions and/or pictures. I have a good clean title in my name. Original VIN/Trim tag still on the driver door post and it matches the title! The car is sold in as is condition. Please see pictures for condition. Buyers are 100% responsible for shipping arrangements and costs. I can assist with loading. I have another 53 Ford convertible project and extra parts for sale separately that I will offer to winning bidder if interested.
