This car was built into a street rod in 1987. The builder's son drove it to his senior prom in 1988. Years later the owner/builder died and the car was stored in the show room of the son's body shop. After 12 years in storage the current owner bought the car. Work was done to the car to insure it is good running and dependable - AC serviced. new steering box (old one had play). new fan belts and hoses. all new brakes. new shocks. new bushings. new plug wires. new tires. The car still has the same paint (in great shape). interior and drivetrain it had when built. The body is steel except for the fiberglass fenders. We were told the builder had steel fenders but was in a hurry to get the car on the road and went with the fiberglass ones to save time. The body is a bright red and the owner has an old can of the paint. The wheels are real wires with 14s on front and 15s on back. Front end is a tube axle with spring on top and disc brakes. Underside photos are below. Rear is a 12-bolt GM with parallel springs. Engine is a 350 Chevy that was rebuilt and has 15. 90 miles on it just like the build on the vehicle. Email any question and you may ask for the owner's number to set up a time to see the 34. It has suicide doors but they have electric locks and switches for both doors. The spare tire matches the ones on the front. They are 14s while the bigger ones on back are 15s. Classic body lines All steel with the exception of the four fenders. Cowl lights are now turn signals. Runs and drives as good as it looks Grill really stands out - bumpers have nice chrome - note the big headlights It has twin taillights. center exit exhaust and you can see the fill for the gas tank Upholstery is red cloth. There are bucket seats and console in front. The wooden steering wheel is from Pilot. It is on a tilt column. Bucket seats are comfy and have seat belts. They are adjustable and the top tilts forward to access the rear seat area. Dash is the same bright glossy red as the body. The car has 15. 90 miles since built in 1987. Instruments are VDO. There is a transmission indicator built into the column drop. It has full instrumentation and the windshield cranks open and the cowl vent opens and closes like original. HVAC took up a lot of space behind the dash. Wrap around back seat - note speakers and cranks for back windows. Headliner upholstery matches the seats. There is an AM/FM/CD stereo overhead. Note the switch for the one electric wiper.
