221 Flathead V8 Updated Cast Iron Heads Circa 1947

Has Not Been On The Road Since 1988 (89 Inspection Exp)

Original Aluminum Heads Replaced Back In The 40’s With The Improved Cast Iron Cylinder Heads (1947) Due To Corrosion Between Aluminum & Steel. Ford Only Offered Cast Iron As The Replacement Heads. I'm Guessby The Date Stamp On Cylinder Heads.

Nearly All Original Other ThanOne Repaint Back In The 80’s, ewerWide White Firestone (Back in the 80's) Tires & A RecentBattery & Gas Tank

Very Solid Top To Bottom With Only Surface Rust To Frame & Floors. Pictures Tell It All.

Runs & Drives Excellent & Runs Cool Even In Traffic. Shifts Out Good And Stops Really Well For A Car With Steel Rods Doing The Work.

Could Use A Front Carpet & 2 Original Windows Have Cracks In Them, therwise Pretty Much The Rest Is Great. I Would Say Much More Than A Driver Quality Car Especially For A 80 Year Old Car. The Paint Is Clean Shiny And Really A Unique Color.

As Mentioned-New Firestone Wide Whites Back When It Was Painted. All Great Condition And Nearly New Treads.

I would spend all day describing this kind of car but the fact is that the pictures spell it out as it is, ust a wonderful car so please bid on and buy this car for whatever reasons you have….street-rod, ot-rod, ustom, how car, arade car, aily driver or with a few bucks you can make it a very nice show car.

I purchased this vehicle at an auction from a dealer selling it for a friend of his. The prior owner was ill and after suffering a stroke he was not able to drive this wonderful car anymore. More recently his drivers license was taken away from himso he asked his dear friend to sell his car collection so that other people would appreciate and enjoy them as he did. The cars were kept in dry warm storage for a very long time and very well preserved from the weather. This vehicle shows 77,000 miles which would be like driving it less than 1000 miles a year for 80 years.

NOTE:Left frontand right rearglass does have a crack in it but was left alone due to originality. The windows are only about 60-80.00 each to buy but I'm leaving the original glass as it is for now. They roll up and down just fine but I'm just letting everyone know.
