This car is NOT hot-rodded and has many period accessories including Columbia 2-speed rear end. heater. radio and the iconic greyhound hood ornament! For 1936. Ford further tweaked body and chassis to make for an even more dynamic drive! Center-poised suspension. new front end. wider track. better weight distribution and still a plethora of body styles meant that the 1936 model year was again very successful and found a host of buyers! Today. the styling is still timeless and the car has kept up well against new technologies! We are very excited to offer this 1936 Ford Deluxe Phaeton finished in Washington Blue over Brown naugahyde interior! The car features a brand new tan Stayfast canvas convertible top! It is powered by a correct 21-stud 221ci Flathead V8 now fitted with the popular cast iron heads and mated to the standard 3-speed floor-shift manual transmission. For touring purposes. this Phaeton has also been fitted with a Columbia 2-speed rear end. allowing the car to comfortably cruise at modern highway speeds! Other options on the car include Unity driver-side spotlight. greyhound hood ornament. bumper guards. rear-mount spare. etched wind wings. radio with antenna. dual side-view mirrors. Tropic-Aire heater and painted steel wheels with polished covers wrapped in Federal 205/75R16 Maha Steel 357 tires! More recent additions to the car include a hydraulic brake upgrade with new lines. fuel pump. sway bar end links. front leaf spring. and shocks. In July of 2014. the entire top frame was rebuilt and covered with a new top. pads and boot cover. Inside. the seats and door panels also appear to have been replaced in the near past and show very well with no tears or major signs of use.
