1939 was the year that Ford introduced hydraulic brakes. Other improvements for the 39 model included a larger frontal area for the radiator to improve cooling, nd an upgraded engine with larger bearings and heavier crankshaft. All Deluxe models received sleek new styling in the front and a much higher trim level.
These "Fat Fendered Fords" are some of the most beautiful classic cars ever. For that reason, ost of these cars have been chopped, hanneled, osed, r decked. This particular example is a rare survivor which underwent a frame off restoration in the mid 90's. Additionally, ithin the last 5 years it's has received new top, ires, rakes, unning board covers, nd carpeting. The wood grain dash and door sills were almost refinished and bumpers re-chromed.
